Re: 2016 Borderland Spring Fling June 4th and 5th

I like it the way it is. I can't play Sunday tournaments, and I'm sure not everyone else can. Or, switch it to am Saturday and pros Sunday.

Re: GIVING THANKS Charity Tournament 11/21 @ Borderland

Hey Judge

Sorry, but I am going to have to back out of this one. I'm going to be in Florida that weekend. Work related. Keep the $25, it's charity after all, but I'd love to have my players pack at least.

Re: Borderland

Jay, if you can be at the practice basket when the park opens Saturday (8am), I will see if you can join my small group for a round. Shouldn't be a problem. Look for a large guy with a thick beard and a large red dg bag. That would be me.

Yeah, I just chalked up my go to driver at the NHO this past weekend. It's a light blue Champion Monster that is really faded. My name phone number and PDGA number are all on the back. If anyone comes across this, I would be very grateful. I really would like this back. Thanks for looking. I lost it ...

Re: Borderland

So I was there Friday night and the white basket on nine looks like it got partially crushed by a tree. There is also some clearing going on back beyond where that basket is located. Will that be a new pin location with a new basket perhaps?

Just updating to add my PDGA number

I believe I signed up before I joined the PDGA; I get the $10 non-membership fee back, correct?

Thanks

If you get a Roc3 I will gladly trade. Wanted to throw one for a long time just never wanted to spend the money only to not have it work out.

As far as check-in process, Matt and Ira, this should be a welcome sight. Sign in, lunch order, bag, trade outside, good stuff.

Funny how things work out. Alex Weisheit and I were random dubs partners at Maple Hill on 1/1. Now we each have different partners for dubs at our home course, and we start on the same hole. Looking forward to some fun in the snow!

Also, that is our starting spot for BOTH rounds, right?

We can use ribbons right?

In alternate shot, will the team get to decide who shoots it every hole or must it alternate? I.E, if my drive is taken on hole one, must my partner take it and I take our approach for hole 2, etc?

Curious to see how this will play, as I have never played Scotch dubs ...

Re: 20th RI Frostbite Classic/Ice Bowl 2015 2/14 Ninigret Park

I don't want to steal TM's thunder, so I will let him post all the results, but here is a brief synopsis:

I believe we had 18 or 19 that started the day under dry conditions. The snow was, as TM mentioned, about a foot deep, and crusty, so that made for tough footing and quite the challenge with ...

I can swing through Pawtucket if you want. It is actually a touch quicker than going 295. Send me a pm with pickup info. It would be sometime between 7 and 7:30 am. I want to be at Nini by 8 to 8:15 to warmup and register.

Anybody else on the carpool? This would include eastern RI as well.

Looks like fun. I will expect another 3 hour drive home for a normally 80 minute commute.

Should be there if I get over my cold.

And the carpool is still open for those here in snowbound eastern MA.

Might be the only practice I get before the Minuteman (keeping in mind I'm still on the waitlist ...

I would love to come down there again. If there is anyone in the eastern MA area who'd like to go, and carpool the 80 minutes to Ninigret, I can arrange something. Hopefully we won't have half a foot of snow before the end of the third round this year.

If you've never played there, it is a rather ...

Re: Almost ace, sweet eagles or birds, nice shots but NOT an ACE

I hope next time I get to post on the ACE forum.

After a nice drive on 5 at Borderland B/W, I was left with about 140 to the basket. I took my 168 Champ Monster (the same one I used to field ace 2 last year) and bashed the chains for a long birdie 2.

It's funny; I have as many birds on this hole B ...

Re: Dacey Community Fields

Great job with the new boardwalks, tee pads, and the new locations on 14 and 15. The hanging basket on nine is a nice change of pace from your typical elevated baskets, which you offer on 5 and 6.

Nice for a change of pace.

What holes will be played in what layout? Will most of the shorter holes be blue and longer holes white? Kind of curious. Weather forecast will be cold but dry as of right now. Nice to play MH in winter with NO snow on it. Rare.

Re: World War I Park, North Attleboro

Was down there on Sunday afternoon.

Course was quite clean, in good shape, with most signs still up.

The tee 9 right, tee 1 left sign on the path near the entrance road was quite faded (probably rain related). Everything else looked really solid.

I thoroughly enjoyed the round and the course ...
