Re: basket height

Im not a big fan but its kind of fun to play. Not really a roller hole though. Tight double mando surrounds the basket and water is all over the place. More about hitting a gap/landing zone 225 ish off the tee if I recall correctly

Trophy lakes near charleston SC had one the last time I was there. Pretty sure they hold a yearly pdga a tier too.

Re: The Mighty Gaw VII-5/11/13-PDGA C Tier/NEFA Points/NEDGC

Are Cuts' 49 and Steve's 59 both course records? Those are insane scores for those layouts.

Steve tied his record of 59 from the long tees which he shot at a Skylands monthly in 2008 and Nick Schneider shot a 47 with an ace on 10 at the 2007 Mighty Gaw. All 3 of those rounds are pretty sick ...

Re: Tournaments (9am starts, hour max lunches, 5 somes)

I can't stand playing in 5-somes. 72 players on an 18 hole course is plenty. Up entry fees to account for the difference in players if the concern is the purse.

Say a tourney is 90 players and averages a $40 entry fee across the divisions. 72 players averaging $50 a head is the same purse.

Re: FDR Fools Fest "The Whole Shebang" 4/7/13 *FULL*

I've had my best luck with a righty forehand flex shot. Me too. As 7 plays now I think this is the only way to pure it. I haven't seen too many RHBH shots be able to go straight long enough and then turn right quickly enough. One or two trees out could definitely make the hole fairer. I do really ...

Been putting with a black one for a couple weeks now and really like it. It's a little stiffer and more stable than a standard beadless P&A aviar. Feels great in the hand.

Good call Titan. Forgot about Druid Hill. Beautiful hilly course in Baltimore very close to some seriously bad neighborhoods, but not far from 95.

100% agree. I love both Rockburn and Patapsco. Seneca is also worth checking out, and if you haven't played Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA you should.

Chuck - you do amazing stuff and I think your point about TV is spot on.

If the quality, breadth, and availability of disc golf footage - both online and for DVD purchase - got better faster I think it would do nothing but help. That Finnish dude LCGM8 does INCREDIBLE stuff filming things as ...

This year marks the FOURTH year I've run a tournament at Rutgers (in NJ).

I've never run an event so maybe I'm not the one who should be commenting on this, but I think there is a huge difference between running a NEFA/PDGA event with 72/90 players and one in which you play 100-200 foot holes and ...
