Re: Virginia disc golf

I played three different courses in the beautiful state of Virginia this week and boy, I was feeling pretty good about my game. I'm an AM2 player and yet I was posting some serious under par scores. -2 for 9 at Joseph Bryan State Park, -10 on 18 from pro tees at Dorey Park, and then I came back to ...

had a couple of jim myer's super top-notch homebrews last night. a barleywine and a russian imperial stout, both from 2006. vegan ray preferred the stout while i chose the barleywine but both were great. myers is the best homebrewer i've ever seen.

homemade butter cookies dipped in barleywine= yum.

for extra security using regular sleeves you can drive a couple of pieces of rebar into the ground at angles within the hole and then put the crete over them.

i'd say i use 2/3 of an 80# bag per sleeve.

1. not too cold as long as you have water in liquid form- concrete setting up is a chemical reaction- it will even do it underwater.

2. quikrete with the rocks in it.

3. much easier to mix in the hole. some extra crap in the mix won't matter.

if the ground is not frozen and has some ...

Pumking out of a bottle = incredible, just like on tap. I picked up a few, and I'm sure this stuff will be just as great a few months from now.

Lagunitas Pale Ale - Well, I have a new favorite pale ale for sure. When I want something less hoppy, yet flavorful, this beer is where it's at! Slightly ...

They had a "National Championship??" and 13 people showed up. What a joke. In the business world this experiment would be considered a total loss and you would back out and count your losses. I am willing to bet that the appropriate path will not be taken and we will see more time and energy wasted ...

whether there are in/out columns or not keeping score is simply NOT that hard. no excuse for turning it in incorrect, pdga should never have eliminated the requirement for all players to initial their score. if the rule were dq as in golf there would be fewer mistakes.

last night for poker it was "brew free or die" ipa from 21st amendment brewery. comes in a can which is a bonus for dg, camping, etc.

not the hoppiest ipa i've ever had- slight citrus flavor, very little malt to balance it. seemed kind of "thin" in general. i'd buy it again for a camping trip to ...

i love the southern tier unearthly too. what style was the gemini? ( since i'm too lazy to go to their website.) similar to bells, southern tier seems to be able to do more than one thing well.

dogfish is the capital of big hits and big misses.

i liked the burton baton but it wasn't worth the price, didn't particularly care for the immort-ale. i stick with the 60 or 90 minute and the chicory stout from dogfish for the most part- their other offerings are generally either too expensive or too flaky.

John,

I played Keriakes (where I had my good round...and the only 1 which had the 2-meter rule in effect); didn't play Hobson. K course had probably the least OB (maybe 10 - 12 holes). Chalybeate had it on every hole. Moore had it on maybe 15 or so. Griffin on every one except maybe 1 or 2.

My ...
