Re: Willow Valley DGC - West Kingston, RI

Played here on Sunday and had the course to ourselves. Awesomely large rock outcrops throughout the course. Great use of elevation. Very little brush to lose discs for such a low traffic course. Beautiful and informative hand painted slate tee signs. Next tee arrows. Well worth the $5 and drive from ...

Re: California bound!

You definitely want to play Morely, just do it on a weekday morning. Kit Carson (Escondido) and Brengle Terrace (Vista) are fun and less populated. Yup La Mirada is the course to play in LA. If you want to air it out and drive a golf cart, Goat Hill (Oceanside) was a lot of fun. I would call to make ...

I live in Philly and will be spectating and partying on Pro day, playing on AM day. I have a couple extra bedrooms in my house which is only a 10 min drive to the course if anyone needs a place to stay. BYO air mattress. PM me.

Zippo hand warmers. They work way better than disposable ones, especially when it's under 20 degrees. Up to 12 hours of heat depending on how much fluid you put in. They also keep ~50+ hand warmers out of landfills per person every winter. One in each pocket: no gloves necessary.

The same was true last year until the ratings went official, then they were the same. So you might just need to check back later.

Re: RF&G

Yup, it's a woods course, but the fairways are pretty wide on most holes which is nice! Sean Echlin, Pete Stone and I played the course yesterday afternoon and had a blast! It is very obvious the sheer amount of trail blazing that you guys have done so far to carve this course out of the woods ...

Love the pictures on this thread. Keep them coming. The crew and I are going to try and play this the morning after Blueberry Jam since we are camping nearby. Is someone going to create a DGCR page for the course?

Re: What FL courses to play.....?

Cliff Stevens Park in Clearwater is a good course. I played a round behind KC's group a few years ago. http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=436

Edward Medard Park is about 20 mins East of Tampa. There are some good holes with elevation which is not typical for FL. Very fun course. http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=4568

Looks like it's going to be -8 degrees  for the start of tourney but will warm up to a balmy 20 by mid-day. Wear something that covers your neck/chin for the first round.

Yes, but only for one year. Although the band formed in '83 (30 years ago!), it was 5 years later when their first official album was released.

At last two VibrAMs there was: OB on the left side of 2's fairway all the way up. OB on left side of 8 until break in apple trees. OB road on 11 behind short pin.

Nice work!
