Re: MVP Test Flight (Woods at Beauty Hill) Sat Sept 27th

Thanks so much John. It was great meeting you and many other new-to-me people since I've been out of the tournament scene for a umber of years now.

I hope to do more events like this - at the very least to give more people more reasons to visit Beauty Hill. Blaze & Lisa have done amazing things ...

Re: MVP Test Flight (Woods at Beauty Hill) Sat Sept 27th

Thanks for all the people who seem to be registering en masse yesterday and today. Pre-registration certainly isn't required but it is a big help to Lisa to make sure she'll have enough food for everyone. Lunch is included!

Re: MVP Test Flight (Woods at Beauty Hill) Sat Sept 27th

cool event justin. im a pretty big fan of their 17mm drivers and couldnt imagine a round without an envy at this point. not sure why it is but, you just dont see mvp/axiom out on the course often. I'm not saying I play out of New England every weekend but anytime I'm outside of NEFAland I feel like ...

Re: MVP Test Flight (Woods at Beauty Hill) Sat Sept 27th

That sounds like fun!
That's the idea (Bob AND Chris!). Honestly, if anyone goes home without saying they had a ton of fun then we will have failed. I'm not a big fan of playing in regular singles play tournaments so I hope that a lot of little fun events will be enjoyed by all and if you don't ...

Awww, thanks Jeff. I think the same thing anytime I see anything you're running :D
If this goes very well and MVP doesn't have their own series next year I might investigate running one in a more populated area in 2015.

MVP Test Flight (Woods at Beauty Hill) Sat Sept 27th

I am extremely proud to announce that Wendy + I (aka CommunityDiscs.com ) along with course owner Lisa will be running the "MVP Test Flight" at my favorite course, The Woods at Beauty Hill on Sat Sept 27th.

Please see the flyer for details but basically, this is our own version of an Ace Race/VBB ...

Re: Disc Storage Bins - Want to buy as a group?

Awesome, I live in VT how will I get them?
I'm in Boston but I'm not against driving around. I'm up at Beauty Hill (Barnstead, NH) every so often so I can try to meetup with folks there or just leave yours there if you can get there...Wow, that's a lot of "theres".

Anyway, I'm thinking it might ...

Re: Disc Storage Bins - Want to buy as a group?

I ordered these on the 4th. I was finally told to expect them on Wed. I'm going to want to get rid of them ASAP. I'm arguing about the tax line item I'm being charged. I'll post a final cost once I have that sorted out. Thanks for being patient everyone.

I apologize for all the delays. I'm ready to order but there's enough interest that I now need more than the minimum...which I suppose is a good problem. I'll post again once I've ordered (which will still be this week).

CBD Boston's "Best Disc Golf Courses Around Boston"

I love that they say "These are the best courses in and around Boston". I know land is at a premium but it really makes me sad how few courses we have in heavily populated areas compared to the rest of the US. I am excited that Simonds got a mention.

Re: Disc Storage Bins - Want to buy as a group?

Justin,

The specs state 8.8" ID hgt. I mic'd a Comet (a somewhat large mid) and it came out 8.75". That's tight. Now I'm not intending to put too many Condors, Jaguars, etc. in there (the few I have can be 'angled' in) BUT need to know 100% that after placing in those styrafoam tubes in the lower ...

Disc Storage Bins - Want to buy as a group?

Buckhorn is the company who makes those gray storage bins all the disc vendors use. They're excellent because they hold upto 35 discs and you can stack them to the sky without the bottom one showing any stress from the weight above (about each 20lbs when fully loaded).

Buckhorn recently changed ...

Thanks for posting this Steve. I've been on the fence about posting the Beauty Hill event on the tournament thread.

The shed shop will have Vibram rubber for shamefully low prices that night.

We hope to use some of the new 18-hole short course for the Birdie Mini that night. Be the first to check ...
