to put some perspective on it, a nickle weighs about 5 grams (+/- 0.1g). Put 2 nickles in one hand and put 3 in the other and see if you can really notice a significant difference. or use pennies, which weight about 2.5g as long as they're minted after 1982.

Sure flatter payouts may reduce that, but it certainly wouldn't reduce the amount of complaining that would occur.

Hell, it's your money that you won so do whatever the heck you want with it. But I do think it takes a little something away from the spirit of the tournament, cheapens it a bit ...

2nd Annual 14th WVO

Anyone from around these parts heading down to the WVO? I'm trying to decide whether to fly down to virginia and get a ride from some friends there. Or to try to carpool with anyone that maybe heading down from this area.

Luke, I think the L&F will be open on Saturday, Steve will be able to say for certain. There is a work day in the morning, then some sort of organized play afterwards. I'll be there working the L&F on Sunday from 10am to 3pm. You can also pick up discs at Tuesday Night league.

About 120 discs were pulled out of the ponds last week and were catalogued. The updated list will be posted soon (within the next day or two).

The amount of disc in the lost and found at Maple Hill is starting to get a little out of hand. Please, if you have any discs on the list come pick them ...

I was wondering who was running for MA pdga rep. There wasn't anyone on the ballot so I wrote my own name in. I figured with the 40 active pdga members in MA I stand a good chance with one vote. heh.

did anyone else notice that active pdga members in MA practically doubled over that last 4 ...

As a Cantabrigian, I feel your pain and wish for a course closer to the cities. It would be quite a sweet thing to not have to drive at least 45 minutes to go play. It's funny, as much as we are a liberal place, we love bureaucracy and are very skeptical of change and new things.

And to echo matt ...

Maple Hill has garbage and recycling bins. And as a friendly reminder the short buckets are for garbage and the tall bins with holes are for cans. Also, glass bottles are not allowed.

Ultimately, for me at least, it comes down to how the TD wants to run his/her tournament and structure the payouts. With that said though, I do favor strong, relatively shallow payouts for AM1, as well as less valuable player packs. AM2 and Rec divisions should recieve the benefit of a valuable ...
