Any help clearing the fairways will be greatly appreciated!
Whereever you see limbs, drag/toss them into the woods. When you
come across a cut tree, pile the logs neatly, off to the side of the fairway.
When the park gets their Polaris 4 wheeler running again, they can

Very entertaining day at Leach pond.
For some unknown reason, people refused to throw it long where it was wide open or a free lift.

Huge "thank you" to all the volunteers that pitched in.

Yes, that Google Earth shot was taken during the Fling (posted a while back), very cool.
Last time we had over 200 discs in the drink. I'm hoping for 1/2 that this year.
The tees have been improved, the branches taken down, but the hole will be used both days this time around.

The other good thing ro put on poison ivy is Roundup. Commercial strength, about $100 per gallon of concentrate.
Mix it thoroughly, very important. Put into a back pack sprayer and spray away on a calm, less windy day, usually in the morning.

Spray the ever loving shiiiiiiit out of it!!!!

Nice turnout! I played a round today and noticed that someone took the time
to pickup (and pile) litter on the white tees. Thanks so much if this was a league idea!
If anyone gets a moment this week, a large green trash bag might be need to carry it all out.

He was excited to try a new course and ended up loving it! Having it be
open but challenging was a big plus for him, hitting chains on ...

I'm meeting a friend (new player) at Pye Brook tomorrow. I've never played there... how's the signage? Anyone know what condition it's in? Will today's rain effect the course? Inquiring minds need to know.

Most of it has been dragged into the woods, but there are a few piles
that I left right at the head of the Boulder Trail in front of #18 (white tee).
These piles need to be dragged down Boulder Trail 20' then go "right" into the woods.

I'm from Pittsburgh and visit a couple times a year. I can suggest a quicker route for you next time if you like rather than trekking thru allentown area. Although there are more courses in that area to pick from. Anyhow, its not a great course but Schenley park is right around the corner from CMU ...

Played Jordan Creek this morning on our trip back from Pittsburgh.
Site of the 2006 Worlds, sweet little course with some nicely maintained,
interesting and diverse holes. The perfect rest stop on a 10 hour trip.

Thanks for the heads up on the full color mini stamps.. We want these to be throwable
discs, not wall hangers. The stamps will be hot stamps with the Fall Finale logo. So far we

We didn't see much sun this year, but that didn't dampen the
spirits of the NEFA flock! You guys really stepped up on the Tornado Fund!
So many of you donated so much... tasty discs and generosity! So many tee
sponsors and lots of schwag from Innova, Vibram, Gateway, etc... Wow!

Ya it's a little tight for those that need a big run-up, but the shot requires accuracy not a huge drive.
The reason it's in that position is a compromise. We needed to also have a good line to the white pin. 5'
further up and the shot is blocked by the trees. We'll see after The Fling if we have ...

I have a machine in my basement cutting the vinyl right now.
I'm looking for 3 spots that everyone passes by. Not tee signs that very few even look at.
The path leading away from #1 toward the road.
The path leading into the woods between hole #7 and #8.
The fairway of #18 as you enter the tree ...

I'm picturing a 5 hole safari:
#1- from the Distance tee (near the practice basket), to the circular garden in front of the Mansion. Outside shrubs, OB.
#2- Tee behind Mansion on hill (near the stone bench) , basket would be #16 White (not blue).
#3- Tee from #17 Blue to basket down by the ...

As for every 3 holes... not going to happen.
The park wants to minimize signs. I will make 3 or 4 max.
