A wee little out of place plug for the New Fairfield U.

Fairfield U is now 18 holes. A bit more tweaking needed to get all the holes with proper tee signs. All the holes are marked now.

Check out this nice new aerial map:

See the Fairfield U section down below in the Courses by State thread for more information.

Fairfield University Course Update

Ok, after a few more weeks of distractions.....

THE Tee Signs now make sense for the new 18 hole course. (see map available in an earlier thread).

Most of the holes have a tee sign OR have their tee marked on the sidewalk at the tee. Here is a quick rundown of the full 18.

1. Old Hole 1, tee ...

Re: Fairfield U

Thanks Adam! It is a pretty, and challenging, pin position.

All the baskets are now in their new positions. New tees are marked with little orange flags. Sign numbers still don't make sense, should get some done this weekend. End of the year stuff and the fact that I am running a Science Ed ...

thanks for the comments. I hate this weather! I will try to get the flagpole hole moved tomorrow. If it is not pouring we could have doubles on Wednesday but I'm not into it in the rain! Look for a post wednesday morning.

Re: Fairfield U

Adam,

Yes, there are a few long walks... alas, with all the roads/buildings etc. that is what I have to deal with. Also, I have a few holes I am just not willing to give up (pond hole, long island sound hole, Ancient Oak, Zen hole) so that drives some of the connectivity problems.

I actually have ...

Re: Fairfield U

Ok, Some good news for Fairfield U. The building boom has settled down. I am ordering three new permanent baskets (probably DGA Mach 5's). I should have them in the ground within a month. The course will then have 18 baskets total. I will be reworking the tee signs so no decoder rings will be needed ...

Stolen Basket Returned!

Yahoo... appears it was a stupid student stunt. Basket was found in a closet and will be returned to the course.

(if they had put it on top of the Chapel or next to St Francis with a disc I would of just howled laughing and then put it back!)

Hole play

Play for holes mentioned..

Long Island sound,

Savannah
Throwback
Pond

There is a bit of walk back from LIS but this then gives three holes in a row down the road. although you do cross the road a couple of times.

The flow for the normal 12 is simpler!

I will have maps for everyone ...
