Yeah, they are going to wait till Xmas so you have to spend $50 per controller and at least $60 for the game IF that is you can get your hands on one before the crazy Xmas shoppers trample you over trying to get to the last Tickle Me Elmo or whatever this years craze will be.

ON-topic, it's not gonna be $50 for a controller and $60 for a game. #1, $60 price point is for the "other two", wii games are never more than $50. #2, this is going to be a WiiWare title, the most expensive of which so far is a whopping $15 (only 2 games iirc are at that price point, Crystal Chronicles & Word of Goo). #3, the new accessory plugs into the wiimote, it's not a full-fledged new remote, which means the price point is likely to be closer to $20 (*maybe* up to $30 but I doubt it) if the nunchucks and classic controllers are any indication.
