Best Discs for throwing back hand...

Post by Paul Benoit »

One day I was throwing discs in a field and started to throw some of them backhanded. When I did that, I went "holy (bleep)" because I found that I could throw them just as far, or even farther, and even with more accuracy thand my forehand drives.

The discs I mostly used were my Pro Beast, Starfire DX, and a Champion Monarch (with a grove lid, makes a nice huge S turn when I throw it right). What would you recommend as good backhand discs?

I agree TL is the disc for a long straight flight. Slight turnover at high speed, not much fade at the finish. Also, throw Rocs, or Buzz for a backhand throw.

Discraft Flash ESP plastic. Z plastic Flash is the worst disc ever made.

Groove goes a mile straight for me............. and when you develop the BIG ARM backhand, get a Boss. JMO, but it works for me.... 8-)

I meant how far are you throwing now? Discs are going to fly different for someone throwing 300 feet vs someone throwing 450 feet. We need that info first before suggesting anything. The TL is a great choice though, one of my favorite drivers.
