I disagree, I saw a view that looked like the trajectory changed. I didn't think it was the right re-call but now I do. Look at 2:20:

Eric,
Simple physics really... a basketball has many dimples... when the ball hits any other object, friction is created, thus slowing the ball down ever so slightly and changing the speed of the spin of the ball.
IT DIDN'T hit the RIM. I've seen it from all angles, and my brother in-law was directly behind the Magic bench, as he was escorting some of the celebs that were at Game 5... he texted me right after the play and said there is NO way that ball hit the rim.
But at this point it doesnt matter, the call went the way of the C's and it helped them win the game. That's all we need to know.

Turnover city. I'm 100% confident for Sunday night. Rondo rules. Big Baby and Perk (all those offensive fouls weren't necessary) will fix the fouls and the Celts will roll.
We'll bang out the EMC and awards efficiently so that everybody gets home nice and early to watch the Celts.

Very surprised this series made it to 7 games.
All things considered. they exceeded my expectations this post-season.
They will come back STRONG in '10, no doubt about that...the progression of Perk, Big Baby, and Rondo....a healthy KG and Leon Powe...and whatever additions they may make....preferably some depth at shooting guard. Something to look forward to...
Cavs vs Lakers in Finals....7 game series. Lebron wins his first championship.

Powe may not be back until 11' torn ACL in the playoffs... remember how long Tony Allen was out? And for a big man, the ACL can spell the end of a career... let's just hope he comes back sometime before the playoffs next year and can help..
also be interesting to see what happens with Garnett's timetable, seeing as they delayed his surgery by 6 weeks...

FYF?! ouch. hit a nerve did i solbo?
every team deals with injuries. some during the season, some during the post season. them's the breaks.
did orlando complain that they lost Jameer Nelson, their All-Star point guard? did they make excuses? no, they manned up and BITCH SLAPPED THE DEFENDING CHAMPS. and did it with a POS PG.
yeah, garnett's good (and a bitch)...when he's on the floor. but he wasn't and the celts lost.
so how good is a player who is injured? none at all.
heck, i put up as many pts and grabbed as many boards as garnett did this entire post season. heck since MAR 27!
besides, 2 all stars isn't enough to win? find me one other team in the playoff with more than 2 all stars on their starting roster? there isn't.
next excuse please.

"Bitch slapped" I'd hardly call going 7 games getting "bitch slapped." You have two teams that you can pick from, when's the last time either one of them won a championship? I wasn't even alive, I've been alive to see them lose in the finals a few times, but not win. Heck, they both got bounced in the 1st round. You're team also lost to Orlando with a POS point guard, correct? And in only 6 games...
Next hater comment please...

first off sir, learn how to debate without name calling. i don't dislike you, hell i don't even know you. however, your true colors are coming through in your vitriolic responses. grow up.
i never claimed that either of these teams is ready to make a run. yup, the celtics are better than both my teams. that's not the discussion. convenient to change the topic when my last argument gave you no wiggle room.
so tell me, is your excuse of no garnett legitimate now that i pointed out that the celts lost to an orlando team without their all-star PG? or, is it possible the celts simply lost to a team that is better, or at least outplayed them.
learn to lose with grace.
in the meantime, i'll gloat in silence.

Celtics lost to a team that got LUCKY. Simply put.
I would argue that the Celtics team, without their best PF, without their second best PF, and lost them at a point in the season when they couldnt trade for big men, or add them to a post season roster... was outgunned... barely.
Down low... Dwight Howard was pwned. Kendrick Perkins outplayed the "best center" in the game for 6 out of the 7 games. exception being game 7.
Magic shot LIGHTS OUT from 3... first time they did that in this series...
so go away sixers and blazers fan... your teams got dominated in the first round of the playoffs..not the semi's.. also.. nice to have 2 teams huh? I root for the C's... thats it, thats all...
Hey stewie... I know I hate you cuse of the Yanks...
but is your second favorite team the Texas Rangers?
YOU CANT HAVE SECOND FAVORITES... that's sports blasphemy...
ps: "tool" is pretty LIGHT name calling as far as this board goes.

No Solbo, my second favorite team is the Albany Backwards-asses. Although Jeff could be a Yankees fan, and since my NBA interest just went poof, I'll just chalk that last comment up to frustration.
C's were flat (as in out of gas) seems to be the angle around here. But "running on fumes" could have been used any time lately. I don't like that Doc shortened his rotation so far. And Mikki Moore proved to be more of a hindrance than help. He's no PJ Brown.
Here's to the Cavs beating the Lakers. One thing I can get fired up for is rooting against the Lakers!

guess i am being a bit of a hater. it's the NY/Boston rivalry i imagine...and i'm not even a NY hoops fan. wait, do they even have a hoops team in NY?
actually, i've always rooted for any team that beat mine since their moving on would suggest that we were 'beat by the best'. to be frank, i don't really have a horse in this race any longer, but i am a huge NBA fan. i will be watching as many games as i can, hoping for long series full of last second shots and compelling stories. Nugs/Lakers? bring it on. Cavs/Orlando? can't wait. the storylines are endless.
always been a huge Ray Ray guy, so i'm glad he got his...last year.
i don't root against many teams, just Boston/N England and any team with what i perceive to be a lousy attitude. if that makes me a hater then so be it. i'm sure many of you Boston fans root against my Yanks passionately. i can take it. rivalries are what make sports great.
my initial jab was meant to poke fun and ignite a healthy debate. wish some ppl wouldn't take it so personally. sports is fun. rivalries are fun. leave it at that.
