Thank You, NEFA!

Post by Davis Johnson »

On behalf of Dan Hale and all who have worked so hard to make Crane Hill the dream links of Western MA, thank you Officers for having awarded us a NEFA Grant! The funds will be put to good use for course improvement, especially regarding tees.

(Thanks also to Ken Wagner who persuaded the Town to dump a load of high quality mulch by the basket area of Hole 14, then organized a work party to
carry out trash, then cover up the old dump with the mulch. The area looks much improved, and the safety factor should be much improved too.)

I can only speak for myself but I am truly loving Crane Hill....Honestly it's my 2nd favorite course in my area right now...with Wick being the first.

I am so glad that it got a NEFA Grant to help make it even that much better!

Great news on the grant and the mulch! Crane Hill reminds me of another favorite course that isn't playable anymore....so glad to have this just 35 mins away. So many more possibilities to come in time should eventually make it a favorite for anyone

We at Panthorn Park would love to be able to say, "Thank you to NEFA".

What process is required in order to consider a grant?

We are still in need of three more teepads, and need to rent a chipper in order to really get things cleaned up.

Maybe I'm not putting this correctly.

How does a course correctly petition the esteemed
NEFA officer corps in order to have a grant considered?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hink - you ole bag o salt - how the hell are ya?

I just sent Rick Williams an email.

When I was VP, we had accumulated a decent balance and
did a general call out to public courses who were actively
upgrading .....

It was a wondrous occasion to be able to give back so
generously to many in need.

Hoping for the same at this time - as I think it's probably time.

Still trying to get the Mooselicker away from the poker tables and back golfing.

Great to see all of the courses poping up down your way.

As you know you are in good hands if Rick is involved.

I am still licking my wounds from Maple Hill 4.

JOE!!

Will you please refrain from hijacking threads with your whiny, needy, snotfull, all about me, hanky-puffy posturings?!

Believe me, if the NEFA Officers saw you fit for their benificence, a crisp check would long since have been cut for you.

By the way, do you still exist? I only hear of you through second or third hand accounts that may or may not be credible, and am concerned Monsterquest may do an episode on you.

Then there's the occasional disc golfer who suddenly turns up as a skinhead that gives SOME credence you're out there... someplace.

So do you exist? Do you still play? I hope so. I need a good laugh!

Or, did your nurse do it for you while your withered phalanges were shaking uncontrollably?

Very interesting question you pose there, buddy boy.

Send in your check to the po box - membership form link is on main page.

Send an email to an officer, they will respond quickly with instructions.

This IS a big reason to be a member of NEFA. Unlike other organizations, who basically pad their own pockets - NEFA actually gives back-always has-directly to it's members.

good job Joe....we got a grant from NEFA which helped our player financed course get completed...we always want our locals to get NEFAed and help payback our good fortune....the Town of Coeymans has appreciated us creating a great recreational facility so much, they have now paying for a new back way back nine which will bring our layout to a 27 hole course. I can forgive you and DJ not showing up this year, but next year's jammer hopefully will be more compelling.....and ya know joe....when youre only 50, ya gotta go beat the older guys while ya have the chance!!
