I birdied hole #5 MH Blues 5x in a row with my great white shark, then threw it in the drink. I hope to get it back so that hole doesn't bite me in the big VO.

A while back I let my buddy borrow one of my sharks since he's a fairly new golfer. He definitely liked the ease of its flight path. I told him he had to give me his Z MRV (which he never used) in exchange for the borrowing of the shark.

You got it. It was my loan shark.

We all know this is really about Shark Week on the discovery channel, did you know that in 1916, A rogue shark killed 8 people on the New Jersey shore? Yeah, 8 people, including people up a creek in freshwater.

I think it was a bull shark.

I didnt know this thanks for the info.

"The bull shark is well known for its unpredictable and aggressive temperament and is thought to be one of the most dangerous sharks towards humans. This is probably because the bull inhabits coastal waters and rivers and is therefore more likely to come into contact with swimmers and water sports enthusiasts."

Sounds right Steve.

I am sure some of you have seen this footage. The shark gets INTO the cage. One of my good friends works on this boat and told me they expected to be pulling body part out of the water, 15' Great White. Yeah... he said, not so fun. He's the guy handling the rope, doesnt get on camera... but says it's the first time it's happened as long as he's worked on the boat.

Sharks are good eating......
Fresh Mako Shark on the grill, squeeze a lemon over it as its turned with just a pinch of salt and pepper. Enjoy with a cold frosty beverage on the beach at sunset.

That still doesn't beat the fine array of food that was spread out for us at Pyramids on Saturday. MMMMM good!

My wife and I refuse to watch shark week now because we will be going on vacation down in the tropics and love to snorkel...I don't think I would be able to get her in the water if we watch shark week.

Actually, a lot of Sharks can survive in freshwater. I find Sharks at the bottom of Maple Hill, Buffumville, and have even found one in the pond at Fairfield. The proper term for this is catadromous...but my question is how do they get back to the salt water to breed? Amtrak? Fung Wah?

I have come to the hypothesis that these Sharks are Lemon Sharks, for when I find them they are motionless (not swimming as most sharks must do to aerate their gills - and thus breathe), and we know that Lemon Sharks have air bladders (thus CAN "sleep" on the bottom).

Discuss.

Karl

Ps: And it sounds a lot better than "Leech Week!"

We watched a couple hours last night. Saw a Jack Russell survive a Lemon Shark attack. Along with some others in Australia, Florida and South Africa. I think the tropics are fairly safe.
