Alexandria Township DGC (NJ) expanding to 18 holes

Post by Matt LaCourte »

Good Morning,

I received the Alexandria Township Recreation Commission's blessing for the next 9 holes for the disc golf course. The new 9 holes will be marked out with posts hopefully starting this week. There will also be a 19th hole/practice basket included. We also have permission to relocate a Kiosk from the soccer field to near the 1st tee. I'd like to have a workday this Sunday October 26th starting at noon. Please confirm if you can attend and what tools you can bring. I'll get the posts needed for marking the new holes and cement for the Kiosk.

With the expansion we are once again seeking hole sponsors for the new 9 holes. Cost is $300 per hole and you will be recognized on the tee sign, Kiosk and the next fundraiser disc (suggestions?). The map of the new layout will be available shortly. I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support of disc golf at Alexandria Township Disc Golf Course especially the following Hole Sponsors:

1) Innova Disc Golf
2) Skylands Flying Disc Club
3) Mid-Atlantic Disc Club
4) Delaware Disc Golfers
5) LVDC
6) Alexandria Township Recreation Committee
7) Delaware Valley Disc Golf
8) Delaware Valley Disc Golf
9) LaCourte Family

Thanks again,

Matt LaCourte Jr

Hole #18 was planted in the ground today. Thank goddess I put the sleeve in November. This target was donated by Prime Discs and has a dark green band. 1 step closer to 18 holes.

Alexandria DGC now has 15 DISCatchers in the ground. There are 2 sets of tees (Red & Blue) for each hole. Only 3 more holes to go!!

1) We have approval to hold a glow fundraiser on November 7th starting at 7 pm. I just need to contact the State Police and inform them that we'll be there

2) I ordered the remaining targets (4) yesterday and they should arrive early next week. We have $400 raised so far and the Alexandria Parks and Rec Committee has generously donated $350 to purchase a target. I figure that the glow fundraiser will raise enough to cover the remainder. Look for workdays to put these in the ground!!

The remaining targets are in transit from Innova and should arrive tomorrow, if that occurs they'll be in the ground for Saturday Night! 8-)
