April 9, 2006 New # 12 Completed

Post by HERO »

Hi ya'll! Finally no more barbed wire OB and possible yacht puree :(. Sorry stewiiflicker--it had to go!

The old # 17 has been retired which will improve parking in the lower meadow anyway. Now u walk from the old #16 to #18 which is along the fence to the yard.

The new #12 T-box is 30 yards to the right of #11 basket--just continue down the farm road and you'll c the t box sign. It's a 305 woods hole anny into the woods along the short cut path that was already being used. Continue straight down the path after the basket to the next t box (old #12 now #13).

Or fer a little excitement--from the new #12 Basket head left over the large fallen tree, across the stream to a new tbox for old #12. It's an alternate that plays 450 ft S turn down hill thru a few gaps in the trees--give er a try and c what ya think!

Out

Wow - no more barbed wire! What a relief!

All those changes sound sweet. A real improvement to the old design.

About time someone addressed those issues. Can't wait to try it out!

Oh, and by the way, what course are you talking about?

I am willing to bet that HERO is talking about the course known as HERO's course in CT. I am sure Hero would love to be putting in some hours on other courses, but when you have one at your house that just opened, there is plenty to do right in your backyard.

I can not wait to check it out Hero.

Ah, never heard of HERO's course. Is it open to the public? Where in CT is it?

While I'll miss the old 17, I know I definitely wont miss going over that barbed wire (and I'm sure your neighbors appreciate the change too ;))

if i understand what you're saying regarding the "old" #12... I assume the original tee is still the "official" tee but you just have an alternate in there to be tested out?

Can't wait to check out the new hole, and to see some real water in "new" 14's pond! :)

I really couldn't imagine being in a greater minority position!! I think I've played 5 rounds and birdied ol' #17 four times!!

I'm due to put my number up on the new course, 'Ro-factor. I understand Uncle Raddy's throwin' some good drives lately. It sounds like the newbie has the triple hook in his gob and it ain't coming out any time soon!

Rumor is that Sammy "I'll get it one of these days" The Apostle Paul, has found a little groove himself.

Scott and Matt: Mo's out of town from 4/15 to 4/22 with the kids. Let's pick a time to road trip.

Scott: West Granby is 1hr 20 min. from Worcester. Anyone have Good Friday off and want to make it a REALLY GOOD Friday in the 06090?

GULP....i..uh... kinda...have GF off? UH OH--I CAN HEAR IT FROM MY # 1 PARTNER NOW????? (Great minds think alike!)

Beffy boy--ya still get a flick shot replacement hole--and um, let's just face reality--if U birdied that hole more than par---well then the reality is that hole mustah really sucked anyway! :)

Also, now 17 T isn't in the way of anyone suicidal enough to rip one straight down the farm road to the old 16 (now 17)..it is shorter though....any takers????

And Dave--thanks fer all yer support man--u wickites will have to take some vakay to come and play again--Chris Webb got me a wick bag tag (huge thanks webber) and said all wickites playin heroes from here on in r mine fer the takin!

And yes -- i know everyone loves the original #12, now #13--so yes the original is still there but i'm trying to experiment with one S turn (reverse S, or flex--i'm still not sure which is which?) type shot and 12 is kinda available to create one.

cheers
