Obstacles Between the Lie and Hole: A player may not move, alter, bend, break, or hold back any
part of any obstacle, including casual obstacles
, between the lie and the hole, with one exception: A player may move obstacles between the lie and the hole that became a factor during the round, such as
spectators, players' equipment, open gates, or branches that fell during the round. Where it is
not known if an obstacle has become a factor during a round, it shall not be moved. It is legal
for a player's throwing motion to make incidental movement of an obstacle.

I snow man might, or a snow pile. If it was there before the round it should stay in place for the entire round.

Lets hear the details. Sounds like a good thread for DRAMA.

FYI - With the rules update process underway this year, I suggested to the Rules Committee that if the PDGA continues to sanction winter events and glow events, that the rules need to cover the special situations relevant to those conditions such as snow, ice and darkness. It will be interesting to see if they address them and what they come up with.

Sanctioned glow round. Would alcohol be allowed? Otherwise that makes no sense.

You do need special rules for situations like this. Safety has to take be foremost. As an example, I am currently injured from a snow glow round but it didnt hurt until the beer wore off. :D

The first glow event I remember seeing sanctioned a few years ago had one round in the day and one round in glow. They got rules exceptions for taping the glow lights/sticks on the discs but not for alcohol. Although I think there was a barbecue in-between rounds and don't know if park rules allowed it when not playing.

ice bowl hijinks

Post by tkeys »

Is it bad disc karma to mess with the rec players.

moved windmill - flatrock hole 14 - and when asked if moving it was legal the answer back to me was of course it's legal.

it didnt ultimately decide who won the dollar for the hole.

D mack you are forgiven. just a chink in the armor

i hope someone else is laughing over this one too.
