This is something to really think about. Just think about when you might have made copies at the local cyber cafe or other such public place.
Everybody--you must watch this video! The ad takes about 30 seconds but this message will amaze you, and maybe, start you wondering about the last time you had your bank flash you a copy of your accounts--or the nurse in your Doctors office making you a copy of your meds or test results! And how about your IRS forms and broker accounts???

Technology isn't the problem. It's the use of the technology, or rather the misuse of it that is the problem. If companies that lease these machines were to wipe the drives after using the machines, then this wouldn't be an issue.
Another problem I have with this news segment in particular is that the system will not change for some time because of the cost associated with employing a new software or procedure to wipe the drives properly. This won't happen overnight and the news program that just put this on blast is actually helping people steal! Only 60% of people knew the machines had a hard drive...now 90% do! Of those people, they are saying, "for $300 you could purchase thousands of sensitive documents that you can use to steal identities." We will even tell you that you can download a free computer forensic software to help download all the files and organize them for you to look through!
