After registration, you will receive an email at the address you provided. Open that email and click the activation link it contains. That link will take you to a page in the discussion that tells you that you are confirmed and may begin using your log-in account. If you are using a free service such as Hotmail or Yahoo or if you are using a service provider such as AOL, be sure to check in your "Bulk/Spam/Junk" Folder for the email. For some reason, the spam filters on those services screen out these emails.
To log into the forums, use the "Log in" link in the menu at the top of the page or use the "Quick Log-in" options on the right hand side or at the bottom of the page.
To change settings or add to your profile, click the "Profile" link at the top of the page. Among the settings, you will find an option to hide your email address, for those concerned about making that info public.
To navigate the site, there are a few features to make things simpler. When you are logged in, you will find some links in the upper right hand corner of the forum. These links will show you all the threads that have been posted to since your last visit.
When a thread has new posts, the
will appear next the forum link and the thread itself. Also, an arrow icon {
) will appear next to the thread title as well as next to the name of the last poster on the thread. Clicking on that icon will take you directly to the new messages on the thread.
