Thanks, Steve & Misty the course looks great however I know it will look amazing come August. The Sap House is SO AWESOME!! All the discs on the walls and the old Tee Signs for Airplanes & Elements look great!!! Can't wait to see the upstairs if I'm allowed?
I had the best time today playing a tourney so far this year, my groups both rounds were so much fun. Thanks to all you guys, you know who you are. Special thanks to The Cuban & Chris F'n P for helping me know the layout on the Blues considering it was my first time playing them.
Congrats to all the winners!! Sorry I had to bounce just wanted to see my kiddos before bedtime!
See ya'll on the course soon. TRB

What an awesome day! Wish I shot better on the blues but I had a ton of fun!
Only low point was getting hit in my throwing wrist by a driver on hole 1 while walking out to my 2nd round starting hole. There should be a rule against throwing into a pack of 30+ people.
I had an amazing time yesterday. Any day that I leave MH with more non-purchased discs than when you arrived is a great day! and my first time cashing. Thanks to the cool people in my groups, and Thanks again Steve, and everyone else who worked on the course, the tourney, and pulled discs out of the water.

That sucks dude! Getting hit by a driver hurts. You should have picked up the disc and tossed it into the center of the pond!

I saw that as I was walking to my hole. As I was coming up to hole one all of the sudden I hear someone call "Fore" way too late as the disc was already overhead then I saw the disc hit you. That was really unfortunate! Looked like it hurt! I cant understand why anyone would tee off where there are at least 30 people all near the hole. The only way he wouldn't have hit someone was if he threw it in the pond. I hope he went into the pond in his round. I really do. That was so stupid!!! Must have been an ma2 or lower since they were plying whites, and probably someone who started on hole one 1. Anyways I saw your wrist I hope it gets better soon! Other than that what a fantastic Day!!!
thanks to everyone that made this tourney happen. a special thanks to the people who pulled discs out of the pond on hole one. i hope to get my katana back at some point. someone had to take last place, since it was my first tournament i felt it should be me. thanks to my groupmates. it was great to meet you guys. see you next time. -jeff

Guess again. I saw who threw it, and it was an MPO player...who probably thought he had enough control of his disc to keep it out of the crowd. But I agree it was pretty stupid.
I also had a great time, it definitely nice to see the sun in the second round. I'm getting real sick of playing tournaments in the rain!

Not looking to call anyone out so I appreciate the name being left out, Troy. I don't know who threw it and don't care to know but we should all be a little more careful =)
Yesterday was another prime example of why I, and many other players circle Maple Hill tournament dates on the calendar, and the events fill quickly. World class layouts, Steve runs a great show, and we get to enjoy nature at its finest.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this an awesome event, and congrats to all the winners (Joe Y. continuing to tear it up). Fun times both rounds playing with some great guys; extra thanks to Don Boutin for advice and talking some sense into me many times 2nd round!
Thanks to all for another great experience at Maple Hill! I can think of no other place where I get in and out of trouble all day, and still enjoy myself. Was in the water 3 times but only left one disc.
Love the new (clubhouse?) and disc golf store. Views to die for of the action from the upper balconies!

Luckily, there is no injury. Just a nice scrape.
Luke
Hey Luke, I’m sorry that was my errant throw that caught your wrist. I agree it was pretty stupid to throw there. I know it doesn’t make your wrist feel any better but that was a buzz, not a driver. As for throwing into a crowd of 30 people, unfortunately that was the result of a throwing mistake, because there was nobody actually at the basket and it took a pretty terrible throw to hit you where you were standing. Its not an excuse, but most of us throw on crowded holes between tournament rounds and we do our best to give a fore call.
Anyway, like I said I don’t want to make any excuses because I did screw up, and I apologize for that. I couldn’t tell who I hit or I would have said something straight afterward. Thanks for being cool about it.
