Chuck? Body vs. Mini?
Had a question during a recent round. Disc lands next to tree and mini is placed. Person was squatting with foot behind mini but knee was in front. Legal or illegal?

KB,
As long as no body part is touching the ground beyond the mini, it's a acceptable stance. Assuming the body behind the mini is not displacing a bush or branch.

Re: Chuck? Body vs. Mini?
His supporting points have to be behind his mini, so if his knee is off the ground, it's ok.

Yep. Good answers. Knee can be in front but not touching the ground upon release of the throw.

Re: Chuck? Body vs. Mini?
As long as his knee is off the ground... Correct me if I'm wrong, but if he is leaning forward and his knee is in contact with the tree then it becomes a supporting point and cannot be infront of the mini.

Re: Chuck? Body vs. Mini?
Correct. However, he could set up his stance with his knee on the ground or against the tree in front of the mini prior to throwing. Then, lift the knee(s) off the ground or away from the tree before releasing the throw and that would be legal.

huh, I never thought off that but it does make sense. Who knows how many people will benifit from this information in rounds to come.

Kristy, think about it this way. When you putt, is any part of your arm or disc in front of your mini?
