How is Normandy? I might be going to my sisters house for Thanksgiving, and they live in Franklin, which is 15 miles away. Any other courses close by besides North Smithfield? Thanks alot Scott

Borderland is the course you would want to play. It is about the same distance as Normandy, only costs 2.00$ to park instead of the seven that Normandy charges. Also the course has two tees and two baskets on every hole. Let me know when you will be playing, I might be able to escape for a quick round if the timing is right.

Hi Mike, Thanks alot, I didn't realize Borderland was so close to Franklin. Less tha 30 minutes away. I just went to their website, and noticed you have one of the course records. That's very cool. If you post your number I could phone you when I'm their to see when we could meet etc. Hard to believe Turkey Day is next week. Thanks again Scott

My father and I refer to Narmandy as a par 36. It is a course of convenience that is fine for the campers.
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.

Borderland

Hey Mike thanks for the tip on Borderland. I only had an hour to play, so I didn't call you knowing what a busy week it was. I loved B-land. Met Steve the cool ranger. Purchased 2 Discs with the spring fling print. I played the white course, shot a 52, with 4 birdy's, and 2 ace runs that I thought were going in the basket. Holes 14-15. I could tell that the Blue course is one of the funnest courses ever created. I can't wait to go back. I'm gonna try and make it to one of your tournaments next year.. Thanks again Mike. Scott

Glad to hear you liked it. 52 is pretty good. The Blue course plays at about a par 67 or 68. Fun if you have time to spare. Where is the crazy aces course?
Hope to hook up some time when you are in town. Happy Holidays.

Does anyone know a cheap way to sneak in and play just once so that I can say I did it? Preferably without paying 12 dollars for what everyone says is a par 40 course

How about you walk up to the front desk and say, "I'm a DB that doesn't care how hard you work to run your business, that positively includes a DGC, but since I think I can get a 40 and I'd like to say "I've played it once" please let me in for free today."

Don't bother Eric. They don't care about disc golfers and the course is crap.
