I want to let all the hole adopters know that we now have a farm truck and trailer. If there are annoying brush piles affecting your hole I'd be glad to help you load and unload the trailer into the burn pile. This applies only to holes accessible by truck and trailer. The burn pile needs to be burned so I can't go too crazy until that's done (rainy day). But it can handle a few good trailer loads.

Hole 2

Post by Ken Ostiguy »

Tom,
I can come out on Saturday,May 30 and to work on Hole 2 or any other piles we need to move. I have some brush behind the long tee and some last lingering branches along the stone wall that we will need to trailer out to the fire pit. I'm always ready to burn if conditions are right. PM me and let me know if next Saturday works for you.

I've been wondering what the best way is to get rid of the piles on hole 5? Is that a rainy day attack?

Trailer

Post by Ken Ostiguy »

Hey Tom,
Just wondering if the truck with the trailer got fixed yet. Still lots of brush to remove on Hole 2. If not, I'd like to do some more chipping. It's slow going because of all those cuts you have to make, but the chips look good around the tee. I'll have some time this week Wed and maybe Saturday a.m. Glad to help with any burning too.

The Vibram's just a little over a month away - time to put the polish to the course...

Hole #13 red/white/blue is now tournament ready but for some aesthetics a week or two before the tournament begins.

I've raked the fairway, gotten the brush-piles burned/chipped/dragged-away, brought in mulch for around the pin/burn-spots, pulled down most of the widow-makers, and built some stone steps in areas that needed it.

Anyone have any ideas on what would make #13 better? More seating at the tee? Better signage pointing to the next tees?

Let's go people, some holes really need some work.

Less than two months to the Vibram.

Nice work Pete! How about a 50' tall Maple tree for shade :P

Maple is def. looking a lot better than even a few months ago. The biggest thing I noticed is the left side of 3, must have been a ton of work, thanks all who help out there!

We are on it! Give us a couple decades to get Pat Bell's red Maple's going. I can't wait to see those trees in twenty or so years.

Hi Steve. Just wanted to let you know that there is an underground bees' nest on the right side of the fairway on hole 5 about 40 feet in front of the pin. I got 5 stings last night to prove it. Jenilee got one herself. Valis miraculously was untouched.
