I'm good for the 9th or 17th (assuming NEFA finals is not a two day event...and I get in). I cannot do the weekend of the 2nd/3rd and will be away for business on the 30/31 in Texas. Anyone want to do a neutral site in Texas??

I thought i read somewhere someone saying its about a 5 hr drive up there? So i take it we would have to come up the night before unless someone wanted to head up there at 5 am? If thats the case id only be able to make the weekend of the 2nd/3rd... Or the 9th(acerace being the 10th)

i'm pretty sure its 3 1/2 to 4 hours. if it were any weekend but the 9th/10th then i would have a place for our whole team to stay about 1 1/2 away in nh. just let me know which when and i'll have to book off and see if the house is free. i do have the weekend of the 9th off though from work

it's only 4 3/4 -5 hrs for Ryan and I; we're both 45 mins south of panthorn. :|

I have no strong leanings to any date, whatever works.

Panthorn guys, I'm good for the 17th, right now I think that's the best date for most of us with all the other events that are going on around the month of Oct.

So Panthorn, please PM me or TXT message me 860-748-3666 if the 17th is good for you and I will start the list and update it.

Kory I looks like the 17th is the best for our team, you can PM me or TXT me if that works for you guys. Let me know. Thanks.

Its none of mmy business but its one of the biggest parts of team challenge. You have to put it together.

So we have to drive 5 hours, pay to play (is this typical for team challenges?), possibly buy lunch and then drive 5 hours home....this team challenge thing is a bit different than I thought.

We, as a team, have never payed greens fees. Maybe it's different in the A pool?

Not going to make this one. :(

September and October are my busiest time of the year. I have to get started on my "TEAM" teaching stuff.
Which is basically a bunch of extra work on top of my regular job, which ain't easy itself.

Kory,

I respectfully request that you find out as soon as possible about the green fees because Matt is correct we have never payed green fees to play a Team Challenge and I can highly anticipate this being a HUGE issue with our team if we do have to pay them. As Ryan stated we have to drive 4-5 hours to play (gas money) then pay another $8 per head for greens fees? We might as well stay home and watch football cause it will be cheaper. Lots of our players are in school, laid off or otherwise and money is really tight.

So please let us know asap on green fees.

i will be looking into it asap though unfortunately for us we dont have many free to play courses like the rest of new england, i was unaware that team challenges are free so ill be in contact with our course soon to find out what we can do about that situation

Hey Kory....thanks for stepping up and providing the food. Much appreciated and I certainly apologize if I came across harsh in my earlier post. I know the greens fees may be out of your hands since it is a pay to play course, but I would be shocked if Woodland Valley Disc Golf Course, who is sponsoring a team in the team challenge, would charge greens fees for a prestigious event like this. Do they charge greens fees for tournaments as well?

I wouldnt mind paying greens fees if they were reduced I was just curious as to if anyone else had this problem. Not trying to be a douche bag and im sorry if it sounded that way. I hear you have a great course up there and greens fees arent a major problem in my book.

I'm sure arrangements can be made to put most of you up on Saturday night with little to no problems.

Have any of you had an opportunity to play either of the WoodyV courses yet? Any questions about the courses?

FYI Panthorn. Teams have payed for green fees before at pyramids and at other courses since the beginning of team challenges. it is not a first. Look at it as supporting the local DG scene up in Maine.

John we have no problem supporting the DG scene anywhere however Maple Hill has waive it's green fees for Team Challenge matches, so if your home course is the only course/team in the entire Team Challenge charging fees then I think not only our team but other teams would not be happy about it, reduced or not. Not to mention we pay a fee for the Team Challenge already.
