I'm not getting what is so above our heads about an already established recommendation (consensus)?

They surely have more resources to throw at research and decision-making.

I think reasons and research should be presented with the boards decision. We don't need to go on gut on this one.

I'm not, but member status on this issue is not relavant.

Tournaments are open to everybody regardless if they are NEFA members.

If we adopted the IOC rules for everything ,NEFA would have 12 members.

In a refreshing moment of right-thinking clarity, the PDGA has adopted the "Stockholm Consensus" as its model for deciding whether or not to allow those going through a sexual reassignment (or those who just want to give the other gender an obligation-free test drive with no commitments) to compete in divisions restricted to ladies. Kudos!

I think the right decision has been made. I stand behind the PDGA and NEFA all the way. Thanks!

That was the decision by the PDGA. I do not believe that NEFA has taken an official stance although I do not see why it would differ from this.

Yay to the PDGA for taking a stance, and Yay to Windchime for taking it in stride.

Edit: Better John? Yay!

I guess I'll speak for president Solbo and say that we turned to the PDGA for guidance on this matter and voted to abide by their ruling after their decision. I was waiting for Steve to step up and post but since there are some questions out there regarding this ruling, I figured that I should step up and answer for him.

I am not sure what they decided.

So they must have the right "parts" for the registered division?

Who checks?

Or is it legal ID?

Thanks

Is the ruling retroactive?

What happened to this communication effort we were moving towards.....?

And who voted?

As far as I'm concerned, this conversation has worked itself to a head and there's no need for any additional "opinions" about who offended whom.

Please take it to PM.
