Finals Info
• Top 2 teams in each division and 2 Wild Card teams make finals. Best record of teams remaining in A Pool determines Wild Card. Bottom 2 from A Pool get relegated to the B Pool and top 2 B Pool teams move up to the A Pool for finals and the next season.
• Places 1-4 get 14 players that play.
Places 5-8 get 12 players that play.
• Top 10 singles scores count. If a team has less than 10 the bottom scores will be counted twice. Ex. A team has 8 players, then 7th and 8th will count twice.
• Top 5 doubles scores count.
• Doubles scores will be double weighted.
• Consolation pool player numbers will be determined after we have all the teams. The same scoring format applies.
• Consolation pool gets money for food, drink and optional CTPs. ($900-finals fees)
• Finals payouts will be: Posted after we determine how many teams we have.
1st: $850
2nd: $650
3rd: $400
4th: $300
5th: $200
6th:$100 (Only if no fee has to be paid)
CTPS:
• Every team is responsible for bringing food and beverages to finals for themselves. This was determined by the majority preseason. We’ll have grills available.

Nope, he doesn't like doubles scores being double weighted. He bolded it and wrote underneath. Once again, there were no mid season changes last year.

What are you going to do, wait until you have ALL the money so no teams can drop when they find out what's going on.

Re: 2010-11 Team Challenge Rules/Guidelines
Where is it posted, Mike? I looked and didn't see it. Is it posted somewhere that $133.33 from each of the B-pool teams $200 will go towards A-pool payout? Maybe this kind of information should be posted BEFORE teams pay thier dues so they know what they are gettting into. Or will it be just like last year, conform the rules as the season goes and then tell everyone that has a problem to go "F" themselves at the end? Sounds like a whoe lot of fun to me.
GET RID OF TEAM DUES AND PAYOUT AND JUST PLAY FOR FUN A BRAGGING RIGHTS! (if you can't figure out something that is fair to all.)

Here is a simple question:
WHY IS OVER HALF OF THE B-POOLS MONEY GOING TO THE A-POOLS PAYOUT?
JUST LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER FROM SOME WHO KNOWS?

I didn't realize B Pool was subsidizing A Pool prize money. Thanks! Now it makes sense why most of Buff bolted to A pool. I think we should play for bragging rights and have a big bash at the end.

Re: 2010-11 Team Challenge Rules/Guidelines
This was discussed and voted on by your team captains. Todd is not the same A hole that was running things before, he is a different A hole.
Seriously this was all decided more than a month ago. The time to make changes has come and gone.

No answers yet? Todd, no comment? If this was voted on then why is my captain surprised about this? Were any B-pool captains involved in the vote?
Thanks for the insight, Steve...

I don't know why your captain is surprised. Maybe he can't read. You guys have 3 people that have access to the captains on thread when every other team has 1. There is no reason why anyone on your team should be surprised by this. Maybe you should ask your:

Re: 2010-11 Team Challenge Rules/Guidelines
Again, I would like to ask the question and I'm just looking for an explanation or a reason....
Why does over 1/2 of the money collected from the B Pool teams go directly to the A Pool payouts?
Please don't tell me because it's in the rules, or because my captain voted on it. I'm just trying to figure out what my money is getting me in return.
I'm anxiously awaiting anybodys thoughts on this

Same format as last year, like any tournament, the best players/teams reap the rewards. Top 3rd effectively get paid out. Trying to find out where your $12 goes? For people that end up in the B pool, $6 goes to the food/other stuff in the B Pool. The other $6 goes to subsidize the payout for the teams that simply put, finished top 3rd in what's an OPEN league.
I don't get what people don't understand about this. If you play in your division, whatever it may be, and you finish in the bottom 3rd, do you expect anything? Do you? That's what happens to the teams that remain in the B pool, they are fighting to get back up to that top third.
This is why I voted for NO money. Christ people it's $12 for a season! You know what Burgess did with our winnings? Contributed it towards dinner! Whoopdie do! You know everyone still had to throw in money! Yeah!
If you don't like it, get out! B/C a majority does!
Go create your own B pool for life! I am sure that sentiment is out there, then the winners of your pool will want in on A pool.. welp.. nope. too bad.

It's only $2.50 per challenge to get your rounds recorded. Big deal. I know where my money is going, to the A Pool finals and the B Pool finals. I'll see you in the A Pool.

hahaaaa that COULD be read that way.....
im not wondering for our team.... we've got some pretty dedicated ladies....
but our first challenge our opponents may not.... just kinda sucks for her....
it just seems weird to have a madatory woman (and alternate) on the roster, and only have it matter for finals....
