Well after several years of uneventful criminal activity at the course, long hole one, which was just installed a month or so ago was punked over the weekend, or perhaps as early as yesterday. So as fruitless as this may be I would ask that everyone be on the lookout for a rather unique basket, yellow powder coating on the top and basket, a brand new galvanized steel pole, a collar on the bottom, or pieces thereof. There is a reward for information leading to the return of this basket to the course, it was one of the very first purchased 8 years ago to begin this course, it has sentimental value. Scumbags beware !
This is such bad karma for whoever did this. If its not returned and I happen to find out who is responsible then I have a special training session set up for you. Better practice up on your Ju Jitsu, and figure out how your going to throw with your other arm because the one you throw with now is coming out of its socket.

Are the dogwalker people upset with you guys at all about the change to that hole? Either way it's [bleep], and this seems to be happening a lot around NEFA land lately. Is some scumbag building themselves a private course with all these stolen baskets? I hope you find them and give them a fine judo lesson JJ.

Armbars
There are a half dozen in Springfield alone. If someone were motivated to take a picture of one and give it to them telling them to contact so and so if this sort of thing turns up...it may have some worth.
How far can a person get with a course bult on stolen baskets? We lost a Taj mahole years ago that couldn't be vouched for by anyone else, so I don't care how long it takes or who it happens to be, lets find them and deal with them accordingly, get everyone back their equipment and donate the unclaimed to needy courses or courses with damaged stuff.
I don't think its the dog walkers, they would have tossed it down the hill, rather than hijacked it.
Sidenotes, I told a college aged kid to move his 4x4 after he had parked on the fairway of 18 to talk to his lid throwing friends.
I found multiple beer bottles wrapped in newspaper and black duct tape, I would assume to keep them cold. Does anyone know anyone that does not know what a beer coozy is ?
This spring we are seeing a resurgence of use of the course, and by people who like to toss their beer cans around and flick their butts everywhere. While the confrontations have been mild, its early in the year yet.
If anyone knows anything about this please let me know, anonymously or otherwise. I don't care, like I said, REWARD for info leading to the return of equipment. Thieves and scumbags, your days of discing are numbered, the hills have eyes.

I found that after filing a police report that was listed in the local paper, the stolen baskets were found or dumped back in the park they were taken from. I think it was some local kids and Mom or Dad told them to return them.
We have had a few baskets walk in southern NEFA.
Good Luck!

Re: Stolen Basket at Northampton, MA
Got a call from a reliable source today that another basket was stolen:
Hole #4 DGA Mach new II donated by Joel and Vinny when Hodges was being dismantled.
Whoever did this apparently doesn't know any better, keep your eyes out for it please, and also for the others that have vanished: a yellow one with an extra set of chains and a Taj mahole proto, unmistakable.
I hope I wake up and it was all a dream, oh I forgot I'm living a dream. Good luck with that Karma, thief.
