Real dumb way to promote a new series! Have an event on short notice, on X-mas eve. This series is seeming more and more like a catch as catch can series. Event on Veterans day with short notice, event on Christmas Eve on short notice. When is the next event, New years day?

Don't be such a naysayer..... The owner of the course was not going to commit but finally changed his mind yesterday. The other option was just cancel it all together. But the some other naysayer, such as yourself, would have said " pretty dumb way to promote this by canceling on short notice". Hence the decision to run with it on such short notice. It's just an excuse to play another new course and play some disc golf.

I'm sure whether there is 5 players or 25 players most of them will have a good time. Hope to see you there if not maybe next time.

Also, not so sure about the short notice comment. The NEFA Dubs schedule has been posted since Aug 20th. The Tully event was listed on it and also the Maplegate event was listed as being in Dec with the date TBA.

Sure some things for the NEFA Dubs Series have been pretty fluid, give it a break it is the first year.

The main intention of the series was to grow the sport by getting newbies to come on out and test their skills. I have attended 2 of the 4 events held so far and was plesently surprised at the number of new faces that were there.

I take this opportunity to apologize for being a "Nay-Sayer". Sully and Karl you guys are right. Atleast it is an effort. Next year it may improve. I have no place to put down the efforts of others. I think I am just a bitter disc golfer with deteriorating skills. Play on!

I still remember the day about 3 1/2 years ago when I was a newbie and asked Mr. Southwick the question " How can I get someone to teach me some of the finer points of this sport". He told me about a player that was one of the best around, kind of quiet sometimes and also that he had more class then most.

Maybe some day I'll get the chance to play a casual round with him so that he can give me some helpful pointers.

I hear ya on this one MIke...no other way..this event may get the course to remain open for the season...the owner kinda does not want to deal with it this year...

He said the "Nefa guys" could come though..! that speaks many words..! so lets not disappoint..!

Come on may only be 1 round..may turn into a future Event..who knows..may be 4 peeps there may be 50 who knows..I will be there..!

Heck Christmas Eve...Sounds like a better way to spend it then shopping,dumb TV specials or anything else

Mike the Tully Event was a huge HIT..! almost capped and record crowd at Tully for DUBZ...next year..you will see a waitlist on that Event..!
