I am done with rules. Jump putt, or walking putt I got it took me 2 weeks to figure it out... Next year can't wait, all those pros. who's been jumping or walking longer than I do will be hating me. I will be the reason why they should changes the rules.

They say they send it out when you sign up for a membership, not sure for renewing it. You can find it online though.

Everyone will get a new rulebook this year due to the recent rules update. Certified officials will have to recertify (take the new test) for the first time in over 10 years. Not sure on the details of that.

personally I believe that a follow through is part of the natural movement of your body... all of your momentum is going forward so eliminating the follow through would be rediculous. But I agree in the aspect that they should make up their minds and go one way or the other.

what does everyone think about including the option of the course designer setting a ball golf like green in which a player cannot follow through.

The rule could have a default setting of 10M or 30M and the minimum and maximum for the course designer green would be 10M and 30 M.

The designer could do whatever they want, as long as it is a continuous loop within the minimum and maximum.

Ball golf has different rules for when the ball lies on the green, so I think this could be a viable option

while you may not see this at every course, it could add challenge and strategy to some of the more high profile tournaments
that's right, I still post here

I had proposed that the rule be updated where the 10m painted circle would be "official" even if it wasn't exactly 10m everywhere so that we wouldn't have players still pulling out 10m tapes to check the paint line on a putt. It didn't make the cut for this update. Carrying the idea further, the designers group has discussed a proposal where if the line was official, maybe the designer would be allowed to shape it to be as close as 6m up to 15m away, not only to be creative for green shapes but to deal with places where it's hard to mark the line exactly at 10m from the pin.

So wedgies and drop-throughs count as holed-out as long as no one saw them occur.

he relief rules have been simplified. You can't move anything unless it's in your stance. If something is both in your stance and between your lie and the hole, you can move it. You can always ask people to move themselves or their stuff if they are in your way.

so before you could not move something that was right behind your mini AND in front of in, but now you can???

You can now move something like a branch that goes thru your stance 30cm behind your marker and part of it happens to be located in front of your marker. You couldn't move that branch before.
