I am really proud of our club president, Ralph Vickers. Ralph is a real go getter when he takes on a task. He has taken in about $4,000from collecting all kinds of appliances and other metal castaways. Club members bring him the stuff they find and he is very diligent in finding scrap all over town. Their course, The "Scrapyard" at Idlewild, will be paid in full by turning scrap into cash and not from our club's coffers.
I am offering this idea as I know there are many small clubs out there who will have opportunities to install a course if they, not their park department, can fund the course. This is a great idea for a small motivated person or club.
