Any other concerns from you guys?

Post by Todd Lapham »

We have decided on:

A/B Pool
16 Player Rosters including 1 female that can be rotated
8 Player minimum at challenges
$200 team dues

I'll be working on getting the schedules up asap. A Pool is already set in stone, so I'll do that first and see if there are any new teams besides Borderland 2 before doing B Pool.

League Settings will look like this:

• Roster size of 16 players including female.

• Players must play in 3 challenges to qualify for finals.

• Anyone in consolation pool may play as long as they have played in at least one challenge (may change if a few more teams join).

• Changes in roster can be made for any reasonable reason (moving, injury, jail, quitting etc.) However the new player still has to play 3 challenges.

• Max 2 roster moves per season.

• Minimum number of players for a challenge is 8.

• Standard format is Match Play singles and Best Disc Stroke Play for doubles. Captains can agree to whatever they want, if they can’t agree this is the default.

• The 8 teams in this year’s finals will be the “A Pool” next year. Everyone else will be in the “B Pool.” Divisions for next year are based off finals results. One division with be 1st, 4th, 5th and 8th place. The other with be 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th place.

• Team dues are $200. Payout breakdown will be posted.

• Team(s) in first place after regular season gets to pick finals location(s).

• Finals location can’t be anyone in the finals home course (even Wick).

• Captains will post or PM the challenge results in order to keep track of who has played.

Was anything discussed related to a team having alternate home courses?

I didn't know anyone was concerned about this, but there has always been the option of having 2 home courses. Capt Lawrence and Nasa both have two. Do you think there's a need for more than that?

Nothing against JD, but I don't think a home course should be allowed as an alternate. Rob's tiki course is Borderland's alternate

• Max 2 roster moves per season.

seems strange...?

and I like the 2 courses..I thought it read that you could even have a third course....

how does a/b pool end the season..? still confused on that..?

everything else seems fine

TY Todd for your time on this

Top 2 from B Pool move up to finals, bottom 2 from A Pool drop down.

Why does 2 roster moves seem strange? I guess it doesn't really matter seeing that you need to play in 3 challenges for finals, but it's basically there to stop some team from bringing in a bunch of talent for certain challenges just to beat a team. Especially with two teams moving up and down I could potentially see this happening.

It seems strange to him because Tully made about 40 roster moves last year and had a team of like 20 people with a max roster size of......15 (everyone just chose to look the other way). So to be clear every time you sub for someone with someone else not on the original 16 person roster, that is a roster move. You get 2 of them.

hello solbo...you infected dripping tool stain

The 2 rooster moves is a no go for tully rock....if it has been voted on fine....it makes no sense to limit the rooster moves...why to prevent a team from loading up....it would then prevent a team from replacements for players that are injured or moved......why have this rule cuz buff brought in a ringer one year..?

also TR is very concerned with the end of season how does it play out...?

if its set up like last year then my team will have issues with the challenge..bottom line....how does the A/B pool break down at end of year....?

does top 2 move up to A for Finals..? and top 2 move down to B pool Finals...?

does the team have to go to A pool...?

it makes no sense to win all year in B pool then have no chance at winning anything...realistically no B pool team will beat an A pool team..so besides for wanting to play with you super cool A pool guys then their is no point....

A/B should be different till following year.....maybe just bottom 2 from each pool don't make finals...but then your bottom 2 A pool would cry they are actually better then the top B pool teams...would also avoid that triple tie breaker crap that could happen to see who goes where

Everything but how this thing ended last year was super fun.......My captains are concerned...I speak for most of the team!

Dude, if you don't want to play in the A Pool finals then don't. Simple as that.

I understand that getting to the A Pool isn't a priority for a few teams, but there are teams that want to play in the A Pool. If you want to be a B Pooler for life that's fine, but look at the big picture man, not all teams think like Tully Rock.

Like you said it makes no sense for a B Pool team to not have a chance to win anything, so that's the reason they move up, to have a chance to win the league.

I know you want unlimited roster moves, but that's just not going to happen. You guys really need to make 2 teams if there's that much interest where only making 2 changes is going to be a problem. You really think more than 2 people are going to move or get hurt? I doubt it, you guys just want a full roster all the time. It's there to prevent a team from loading up, and also prevent what you guys did last year, which is basically having an infinite roster.

80% of the season is over and some teams still haven't paid yet?

That just doesn't seem right to me.

No Ticky no Washy

We had the same problem once with fantasy football. We didn't let the guy in the playoffs and replaced him next year.

Might want to rethink that since your team is one of the unpaid.

I agree it's not right, I should have been more strict about this, but have spoken to all 4 and they're en route to my PO box.

Should be all set though.
