Fade Gear Weatherguard straps
after a solid day of inclement weather on sunday (team challenge Tully vs. Bombers) and not having a snowballs chance in hell with keeping my discs dry...i looked into the fade gear weatherguard straps. Has anyone used or thought about buying these? Any info would be nice.
I already use quad shocks...and i know these will not replace them. but on days like sunday? heck yea they will.

My friend peter rocks the fade straps. They give you a Quasimodo kinda look when not in use. And look goofy when the gaurd is out. But they work. The guard wraps around the bottom of your bag and keeps it dry when put it down. He had them since last xmas and they hold up pretty good.

Re: Fade Gear Weatherguard straps
I'm waiting for someone to come up with a rain guard that can easily attach to the Quads, Gelz and Innova straps. Should be an easy design and I can't see it costing more than $20-$30.

That's a good point. I wonder if the rain guard piece could be attached to my quads? Or should I just build my own thing...cuz I would rather just use my quad straps.

I know this thread is old, but I have to say that I just bought the fade gear straps and spent a whole weekend in the rain playing. Outcome: probably the best investment I've made since playing.

if you use the chest strap the stiching will come out over time. their customer service is great and will work with you.

Re: Fade Gear Weatherguard straps
I've had the innova straps, quadshocks and these. I do not think that the quadshocks are any better than these in terms of comfort. They hold up nicely too. You can also take the bag cover out if you don't feel like looking at a large lump on your straps.
The key to playing in the rain/wetter snow is to dry your discs before putting them back into the covered bag. I learned this the hard way. Yea, it should be obvious, but sometimes you don't think about it.

Re: Fade Gear Weatherguard straps
I use a larger, waterproof pack in wet weather. This allows room to pack towels between the discs. So I only make a quick dry of the discs before I put them in the pack, they dry off in the pack. Lazy? Or more of a workout? Because I am carrying more towels and more discs. I prefer the work out excuse. It also keeps my main towel drier. I have not seen the Fade Gear Weatherguard Straps.
Practice with purpose.

Re: Fade Gear Weatherguard straps
I had an issue with my straps. The small strap connecting to my bag snapped in half. I emailed them on Thursday and on Monday I had 2 new sets of straps in my mail plus a bottle opener keyring (I love free stuff). Overall I'm sure straps snap sometimes, they do look well made and Fade took care of it quickly. My opinion is they are good straps and Fade will take care of you if you have any problems. It was obvious they take pride in what they make.
