Re: Champ XD
yeah those are what i would get... i like buying stuff in pairs in case I lose one or thrash it though.
rumor is the star XD's fly nothing like a DX though, so i think i'll wait to see the reviews roll in on these champs.

Re: Champ XD
I'm thinking they might have quite a sharp edge on them too.

Re: Champ XD
The Star XD flies nothing like a DX. They are real stable to start and beat to straight. They stay stable for a long time and are great B-Line disc but like alot of discs they where only aviable as CFRs. All of you who have been looking for the Stars and couldn't find them or they are crazy money, here is your chance to get the XD that will most likely be like the Star but in Champion and Champion Glow.
My soultion to the sharp edge that the stars have and the champs probally will too. Play catch in the street but use skip shots. Dosent take long to get rid of the flashing this way then they feel real good.
I will post a review once i get mine later this week. If your thinking about getting them better jump on it. I was going to get the Champion Vulcan but waited to long to buy from DGV.com now http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid ... Categories they where $18
Get the XDs while DGV still has them.

I go with the carpet method........ a good rubdown on a low pile Berber-type carpet and the flash is gone, leaving a really smooth feel.
My CFR Glow XD is in the mail AND so is my Ice Bowl order !!!!!

Re: Champ XD
i had a star xd at one point (as well as a dx xd, which is just confusing), and i'm about 95% sure it was not a cfr disc. pretty sure they were a production disc at some point, because at the point in my playing that i owned that disc i never payed extra for weird stamps/tye-dye/etc.

Re: Champ XD
Never have seen a regular run Star XD. The MSDGC ones where the 1st I saw.
These new Champs are a bit domey but feel real nice in the hand IMO. They seem as stable as the stars, but I havent got a chance to realy rip on them yet.
Thrown them indo at the Barn and they hold a great line.

Re: Champ XD
timmy walsh sold me on the XDs many moons ago. i use them exclusively from 200 in, including to putt.
the star XD, according to DD was only made as a CFR and no longer available. it has a classic roc top and an xd bottom. stable pig (any weight) after 4+ years. wonder what the champ xd mold is?
btw, i will buy any star xds anybody has, pm me and i'll paypal.
and thanks for post, i just snagged 2 of those taiwan glow xds, only 1 left in stock.
aloha,
brock

asia open's are a little flexy but not floppy, fly slightly more stable when new, but i couldn't get a good feel for them. stuck with the regular xd's. i'll let ya borrow an r-pro one.
