Post by strojny »

I'll be taking a vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee august 12-19. Are there any courses/ competition nearby? (doubles, pro/ams, etc)?

Typing "Laconia, NH" into the PDGA Online Disc Golf Course Directory gives the following:

Barnstead, New Hampshire 03218, Woods at Beauty Hill, 4 miles
Center Ossipee, New Hampshire 03814, Terrace Pines Campground, 22 miles
Dover, New Hampshire 03820, Bellamy Park, 22 miles

I've heard great things about all three courses.

Terrace Pines Open IIIon August 12 in Ossipee. Don't know if you're arriving the 12th or that is just your first full day in the Lakes region, but I figured I'd toss that out there for you.

Barnstead

I like all of them but would recommend the Barnstead Course. A wonderful farm setting with wonderful holes to accompany it.
Very challenging but friendly!

Both Bellamy and Ossipee are great courses, but short courses, with many challenges as well...but shorter and tighter.

There is a Tournament at Terrence Pines on the 12th...

8/12 glow fun night at Barnstead

Post by Blaze Konefal »

The Woods at Beauty Hill in Barnstead (just over 10 miles from Alton Bay) is having a fun glow night on August 12 starting at 8 pm. That is also the night of the maximum metorite showers and we have a great place to view them from.
Check us out at WoodsAtBeautyHill.com.
The other NH courses are fun to play also!.

I'm coming up!!! I'm leaving here (Delaware) at 5:30 in the morning and making a break for New England. I think I'm going to stop by Maple Hill to play a round, check out the course, and break up my drive, then I'll be heading straight from there to Barnstead to partake in some glow meteor golf. Can't wait to check out the NEFA scene.
