Any connections for Disneyworld-area hotels?

Hello nefaland, I have a random question/favor, and thought with the number of good people on this board there may be a chance for some help. My sister and I are taking my mother to Epcot in Orlando for her 70th birthday at the end of April. We are both on a very tight budget, I'm in grad school and she is a single mother. She has a friend who can get us a day pass for free, so that helps with the park fee- but we are looking for hotels and I am wondering if anyone has any connections/deals for this. I know there are a lot of cheapo places on the strip, and we might just go with priceline and hope for the best- but I am really hoping to make this special/comfortable for my mom. So if anyone knows of a way to score a good hotel deal down there let me know. We are going to be there the nights of 4/29 and 4/30, and would need one room with two beds. My dream would be something in the park, possibly even on a monorail or boat line, so there would not be as much driving back and forth, especially if we need to go back to the room during the day for a break.

No luck so far finding something in the park. Anyone have any hotel suggestions nearby Epcot? My 6 y.o nephew is fond of any sort of swimming pool with a slide!
