Episode 41 is up on Youtube, links below.
Please remember that DGL is primarily a vehicle for bringing DG to community TV stations across the country. If you have a station in your town, please get in touch with them and find out what it takes to bring a show to your local airwaves. There are hundreds of stations in the NE, lots of opportunities to grow public awareness of our sport. Whether you have a big-city station or a small station in some podunk town, we've got free DGL dvds or downloads for your enjoyment. Help grow our sport, bring DG to TV in your community.
We included a couple Vibram tunes in our previous episode, and some early action in this one, so there's a dose of local content for many of you. We'll cap off our Vibram Open coverage next episode, as we do our piece to help promote awareness and participation in our favorite game by showcasing premiere events, venues, and personalities.
This episode kicks off with action from the first round of the 2010 USDGC, as the history and future of the event are discussed and players tackle the starting hole. We then visit a re-purposed ball golf course in Florida called Pine Oaks as Billy Crump and Nate Doss make the call in a Clash doubles event. We head back to Winthrop Gold for second round action at the USDGC, as players negotiate the watery fifth and sixth holes. To round things out, we head up to Massachusetts as Steve Dodge brings us up to speed on the action at last year’s Vibram Open. We even squeezed in Pete May as the credits roll, dispatching player after player in his annual display of table tennis dominance.
