Course dangers
There are more dangerous things than poison ivy at courses. Here is proof that crappy raised tee boxes can seriously hurt someone. Concrete boxes that have drop offs on any side of them, particularly the front are my biggest pet peeve. I would rather have dirt and deal with pits and mud.

I agree with the drop offs ect ect
this year we have to go around all the new tees at Tully and bring them up to grade....its tough though cuz we want to use woodchips for last layer of material..but the cigs could cuz a fire if someone just flings one on a hot day....so I am trying to convince the Rangers we need gravel of some sort..but hard to convince with the excuse that people may start a fire....but I have seen mulch go up quick from a cig

Re: Course dangers
I would think that prevention of fire would be a good reason in swaying them that gravel is better than mulch.
