A request to area disc golf stores

Dear disc golf store owners,

As you may be aware, in the last year there has been a rash of vandalism on area courses, consisting of "Chain Link Assassins" graffiti. While certain members of the group that identify themselves as the "Chain Link Assassins" have denied responsibility for these actions, the graffiti continues to raise concerns among many of us love the sport and hate the disrespect demonstrated by the graffiti.

Recently, stickers bearing the CLA logo have reportedly been distributed to area disc golf stores for sale or distribution to disc golfers. Such stickers are already appearing on area courses, continuing the troubling trend of vandalism already associated with the CLA. I write to ask you to reconsider your association with the CLA, if any, and to ask you to please return or destroy any CLA stickers in your possession. As we continue to grow the sport, we all need to exercise some discretion with regard to the people and products we let into our community. I ask that you kindly consider whether you want to be associated with a group that has, up until now, been widely regarded as a plague on the courses we all love.
