Too bad the #5 course has a basket in the middle of an OB stream, possibly the most gimmicky course design element EVER created...

I got to Plattsburg and all the bridges and ferries across Lake Champlain were out so I played Cadyville (Plattsburg) and came home.
Cadyville is a cute little 9 holer with 9 more slated for next year, I enjoyed it. 9 brand new DisCatchers and 9 concrete pads, looks like they want a serious course there. Not bad at all.

I'll let you know when I'm coming up to the Northern Kingdom, probably this June or July.

I haven't gotten a chance to play hyzer creek, but how could anyone consider cranbury to be better than Wickham?! You gotta be kidding me, I think Wick is the 2nd or 3rd best course in New England, it is supposed to rate the overall course, not rate the best "New England style" course

it's an old thread... currently, Wick is in at 4.27, Cranbury is 4.26.

I prefer Cranbury over Wickham. Free, technical, two sets of great baskets, open year round, and the best tee pads I have ever played on. Whats not to like about Cranbury?

Re: Top ranked NEFA courses according to dgcoursereview.com
technical? ok, maybe if you consider technical golf throwing wooded shots under 400ft, how about a true technical course where it is required to throw well-placed drives and accurate 150-250ft upshots.
Cranbury is fun, they only have one good set of baskets, and it is a perfectly fine course that is fairly well-groomed and does have great tee pads. It is not a "championship level" course like Wickham is though....
