Where should I go next? (If you were me)

Post by Anthony Dembinski »

Every weekend me and my 3 DG partners have been trying out a new course. So far in our limited time we have tried West Thompson, Buffumville, Hodges, Barre Falls, Pyramids, and Hyland Brewery. We are saving Maple Hill right now.

So where should we go next? What course would you set as your next top priority if you were us?

1. Wickham
2. Bennett Disc Farm
3. Tully Lake

I am assuming you live in the Worcester area. Nearby choices would be Devens, Newton Hill, Tully, Flatrock.

Guess it depends on what your priorities are... I would go to Maple Hill next.

If it were me I would skip Devens and Newton Hill for now. Go spend a day at Wickham. Head up to Tully and Flatrock next. Then head out east and spend a day at The Borderland.

Webster, MA. So Southern Worcester County.

Whats close doesn't matter as much as the quality of the course. We are willing to travel. 1-1.5 hour drives are within range. But if its spectacular we may be willing to go further lol

You should go to Wickham, it is by far the best course within 1-2 hrs that you have not hit up yet. Bennett is amazing too but a bit of a drive up north

Borderland is also great and not too far for you. Maybe an hour? Surprised Stroika didn't mention it.

I like to play there and last time I went I had to wait for people on my once 'private' course. Why would I want more people to love going there?

I thought he was looking for close.

Wickham and Borderland will be your best bets for quality within 75 minutes Tony. You could spend all day at either course and not be bored.

Same here!...c'mon Stroika..no love?

Borderland is a must play course! 2 baskets/2 tee pads on each hole, 4 distinct layouts (blue-blue/white-white/blue-white/white-blue) Beautiful park, professional signage and a world class course with one of the longest holes in New England as well as one of the most scenic holes in the country...hole 17 :D

Flatrock is an absolute must!
I'm like the Lebron James of disc golf...except for, you know, that whole being a giant douche thing.

Borderland and Flatrock are two gems that should be at the top of you list.
