Titan's Home Improvement List

Post by Jeff Wiechowski »

Ok, I'm tired of the excuse "i posted it somewhere", so this the place I'm gonna set up for him to put it all. You can link it, quote it, copy/paste it...... Just make the suggestion clear and detailed as possible. NO Smartazz comments please.

1. BoD communication.
Skype and Team Speak sound like solid ideas. Who wants to research it further?

2. Player minimum at Finals.
90 is the logical number. BoD 2012 should address this.

3. ??

I know there's more but this phone screen is too small and Its giving me a headache.

1.nefa gear why not? we have people who could make this happen

2.nefa store could be valuable asset to members

3.nefa logo what is the deal? why not use the new members voted logo on all things Nefa

4.nefa junior championships Patrick T's idea...with promotion/marketing in area youth sports orgs also a nefa rep to contact area schools to introduce DG to them maybe a traveling 9 holes could be rotated around region

5.adv GM division is it time for a masters series?
6.allow TD's to offer specialty events and count towards series (NE Masters event,Pro only Events,AM only events ect ect for example)

7.Allow courses that only hold 72 to offer 2 day events pro one day,ams next day to help with quick sell outs..only promotes growth

8.Nefa Ladies Event to attract more females to sport from OBV low divisional turnouts and again promote and market in these specialized areas

9.set up a "volunteer for nefa program" and allow members to offer their skills they may have

10.Jaywicks nefa work crew is great idea

11.Help and support with Nefa dubz from BOD the series is great avenue to attract new members

12.Nefa Finals info posted to members prior to after end of season(I know field size and invites need a lil time)

13.TDs must post event info on Nefa.com forum Tourney area

14.area of forum with each BOD member having his own thread so members can reach them on the forum with issues, suggestion, ideas, complaints and we don't have to hear "I don't read the forum" they can stop in check their thread and take it from there or so they can post announcements and info members might want to see

15. online nefa town meeting via skype and online streaming outlet..all free.!
Bod on skype together streaming live on a site that offers chat within stream for members qustions, comments with nefa mod organizing chat questions..could be fun and informative

16. scheduled points updates pre announced to members to end this points update debate maybe 8 updates a season IDK

That is a good start for now
The list looks long..I think many of the ideas will be a great way to help grow the sport and point series I could see them all being achieved with some hard work from dedicated volunteers

Its Patrick H's idea. Unless is there other Patrick with last name of a "T"?

I would also suggest to contact the school P.E. Directors directly if possible. It works for me when contacting most of New England deaf school P.E. Directors. They all love the idea and would like to welcome some of the NEDDG members to give quick DG clinic before the kids attends their NEDDG Junior Championship tournament in June.

The Junior Championship will be only two rounds of 9-holes due to time limits and its on school week. Two rounds of 18 holes will discourage new younger kids from playing more.

Can't wait to see it to be a success! 8-)
Tee Off and Pay ATTENTION!!

How bout a virtual "ask the pros" event? Schedule it two or three times a year. It would be awesome if NEFA had its own ventrillo server...or a team speak server (which is so much cheaper) where players could log in on a specified date at a specified time to ask the NEFA pros whatever.

Ive actually co-hosted a few events of this sort (although in a different hobby) and they were ridiculously popular. It would be even better if we could attract big names to the event.
