Critique my bag.
Many changes and revisions and i am pretty happy with where i ended up. Feedback is welcome.
Drivers:
Pro Leopard - Goto driver
Champion leo - Goto Driver when there are hazards that can mess up my pro leo.
2x DX Leo - Water hazard disc and for turnover/rollers when i beat them in more.
Champ Teebird - When i need a more reliable fade or headwinds shots.
Midrange:
MVP New Run Vector - Reliable fade. Goto mid.
MVP First Run vector - More over stable then the new runs, headwinds
MVP New Run Axis - Straight shots, tight lines.
MVP First Run Axis - more understable then new runs, Turnover shots once it beats in more.
ESP Hornet - Very overstable, hard left hand hooks or hardcore winds.
Putters:
MVP Ion - Goto putter inside 20-25 feet.
MVP Anode - 25+ feet and approaches.
Newest additions:
Z Zone - Just got this one. Have to figure out where its role will be but i am looking forward to it i hear its incredibly overstable.
Future purchases: I need an extremly overstable fairway speed driver. Considering whippet and banshee and a few others.

Re: Critique my bag.
A champ Banshee is a great compliment to the teebird/Leo combo.
Also, I noticed you are not using any high speed stuff; good for you, especially if you are still just starting or don't have a ton of distance yet. If you want that open field, slightly longer throw but want to keep everything in the TB/Leo/banshee family, get a DX teebird. They'll go pretty damn far, and beat in to very useful understable discs.
I personally never liked the MVP stuff (at all) but if you dig it and it's working, cool. I could just not get used to the funky grip.

I like your approach, but watch the talk around the discs. NO DISC GOLF DISC is crap, just saying

I like your approach, but watch the talk around the discs. NO DISC GOLF DISC is crap, just saying. And, it should be hard for anyone to critique anyone's disc assortment until they've seen the person in action. A bunch of discs in a bag say nothing about how someone plays the game.
Not really. You can easily see if i am overlapping or have redundant discs.
I didnt mean the discs were crap but the high speed stuff is crap for me cause it just fades and dies lol

I can't say anything about the whippet because I haven't throw one yet, but i'm a big fan of the banshee.
I got a couple champs and they made it right into the bag. It's a versatile disc...I throw tomahawk, flicks, and backhands with it...very overstable and very reliable.

Whippet is a meat hook. It's definitely a special-use disc. I have one in the bag for the extreme dogleg shots.

Re: Critique my bag.
The teebird is a straight disc, maybe it isn't that for you yet....but keep working on it and it will be. I think the Banshee will be enough overstability to go with that. The whippet imo is even a notch more overstable than the banshee. Maybe a tick slower too. The rest of your stuff looks like it fits your abilty level. Overlap with the vector and the hornet?? The vector is supposed to be an overstable mid correct? I don't' have too much experice with the MVP stuff, just didn't care for the plastic and the rim gimmicks.

Re: Critique my bag.
Whippets are overstable; nice disc. You mentioned that the high speed discs fade and die for you. You might try one of those as your overstable disc. Pick one and get used to it. As you get used to it, you will get more distance but will still have the turn at the end. Over time, it will straighten out somewhat as you get more command of the disc. Overstable and understable are relative terms. It all depends on you and the disc.

That rim isnt really a gimmick.. its a very legit technology that puts the majority of the weight in the rim.
The vector is overstable but nto as much as the hornet. the vector is more roc like.

I dont like the grip of the new DX plastic. Its not grippy at all. But its cheap so maybe I will try one. How are the older runs of DX? Anything more grippy?

Re: Critique my bag.
I would go banshee or firebird if your looking for overstable. Whippets dont have much glide. I have Champ Whippets as far as the DX ones they may have a bit more glide. They are really more of a specialty shot disc,IE spike hyzer, low skips.

You've got too much Innova in your bag, go buy a Predator already. Great disc.

Re: Critique my bag.
Since you claimed to be a newbie player...
I noticed that you have...
1) No long distance drivers but mostly fairway drivers - That's fine and good start to learn where the lines are. BUT do try bump up a bit to work on DX Valkyrie or Orc. Its easy to learn to achieve the S-drive.
2) Too many similar mid-range drivers - Cut it down to three most important mid-range drivers - one overstable, one stable, and one understable - that way you can learn how to throw properly to get to where you want it to go. I use just one FLX Buzzz for almost everything!
3) Putters - that's your preferences.
4) Trick shot drivers - You'll need them for "getting out of situations". - Very overstable and/or very understable drivers will do. Don't need stable disc which can be either stable mid-range or putter.
Keep It Simple!!
When you get the hang of the limited discs, then its time to buy bigger bags to load up your backups and test discs.
