Houck has some great articles here. If you are designing a course or want to change some bad holes, this is a great resource.

His article on fairways is great: hint

I have read all of John Houck's articles many times.... Most are available in various Disc Golf World Mags, or on his website www.houckdesign.com

Worthy of a read, or three, if you are thinking about designing a course.....especially of championship caliber, and not just a drive/putt course.. Most of John's articles are very comprehensive and focus on risk/reward, looking for what's there (and what's not there), and treating disc golf courses (design) more like ball golf courses--in that there should be more par 4's and 5's.....and tough par 3's. Every shot should be rewarded....or 'punished'.....etc etc. Look, now you got me started! haha

I love course design!

Lots of walk throughs and discussions over glasses of cold frosty beverages ahead! :^)
