Pyramids sounds fine. Maple hill would be a little more appropriate considering the space they have to accomodate everyone. Also has anyone thought about playing them on Sunday following A tier finals, IF we do this I can personally gaurantee it would be a top notch Shin Dig.. I know this is our home course but truly, we have not won a match this season. If this idea is won't work for any reason we are open to whatever works out. I just want to see everyone who does'nt get to compete for something, at least have a hell of a party to look foward to.
Just my two sense!! See you all next month!! :salut:

B Pool Low Tier Finale

Post by Chris Bolton »

I would say let's keep with the rule of no ones home course. (I do like hylands a lot but rules are rules).

Pyramids would be a blast.

I would prefer to keep it on Saturday if we can.

I honestly think last place team should HOST this event..! and should be the rule....saves alot of BS and who really cares if it is on someones home course..its just for fun anyways

and your idea of the Sunday after is kinda cool...

Remember we are into PRIME time for Disc Golf, and Jason will probably want to leave the course open on a Saturday as this is his most profitable day. I think a party at this point is our ultimate goal. Just think I.P.A, Disc Golf, possibly live music " if the pavilion is open". Titan is right we have nothing to compete for. "However" if we do play at Hylands i could perhaps persuade some of the head Chiefs to donate something for everyone too compete for. Believe me they are very generous group as most of you have witnessed throughout the season. Not to mention the best Disc Golf venue in Mass!!! :drunken: :drunken: :bom:   :D

I like the idea of hylands.. pyramids probly not a good idea due to reasons stated before.. maple probly not good either, I believe it is a challenging course (this is for fun).. west t and barre maybe? Are the low tier teams set? Those should be the ppl on here talking about it.. I think the 6 team captains ask their teams where they would like to play and we vote.. are we sure that the Sunday is available Paul? And will the alt baskets be up?

We have the O.k. to use Hylands on Sunday. If this is what "everyone" wants to do then great we can start planning the FUN and FESTIVITIES!! :D From the looks of it 4 teams so far like the idea. How many teams are in the low tier?

Slow your roll Paul. It the top half of B decides to do the same thing, they would get priority over bottom. Hold off for a bit brah.

Eh, don't worry about a roster. I'm not one of those captains who asks for a roster prior to the challenge. You bring who you bring, as long as you have 8, I don't care. Brah!

i really think we should follow the rules and not use a team's home course. Rules are rules. I hate to be a rules nazi, but why have them if no one ever follows them.

There are so many great courses to play. There has to be a course we can decided on and still play on saturday.

Barre would be cool

Wick will be open and I know Team Panthorn will help organize things (but no one ever wants to come play in CT)

I understand your point brad about pyramids...

we can still have fun at maple hill, we can play the whites for singles and the blues for doubles

I just feel that we have so many options

Chris wouldn't Maple Hill have an advantage, if we play at Maple Hill!!
And Barre doesn't have half the venue that Hylands will provide for everyone.
At the end of the day it comes down to whatever the captains agree on. Also your talking a lot of thirsty Disc Golfers out there who would much rather drink at a brewery than a state park. I'll let the topic rest! I don't want to be one of those people!!

Re: B Pool Low Tier Finale

i am doing my job voicing my teams concerns.

Why do we have rules if no one follows them. Don't get me wrong, i love playing hylands, but with all the courses I am sure we can find some where that isn't a team's home course.

what teams are in the bottom pool?

Crane Hill?
Flatrock?
Wick?

I like how we are discussing things, but I feel like I am being told "this is what we are doing, tough [bleep]!" (i have not complained much at all during the season BTW) and I hate how we have to wait on the damn issue of the top B final location being decided...what happens if they choose hylands?

I am pretty sure that the low B finals was set at Hyland before the season started. Check the Captains thread, or not.

Here is Todds post:

For the B Pool I'm leaning towards the half and half makes the most sense. I propose:

Top team picks finals location for the top 6 and it can't be anyone's home course. Top 2 that day move up to A pool next year.

Bottom half go to Hylands, because that place is awesome.

No need to fight, its already decided.

I propose a bunch of stuff that doesn't get voted in.

Not to mention Hylands is in the bottom half of the B Pool...

Ya I read the thread a bunch, it seems to me that it was tacitly approved. Besides, there is nothing at stake for the low b pool finals. I thought thats why you suggested it.

But, if not I apologize.

I like the idea of hylands on sunday or Pyramids (assuming Jason gives OK) / maple on saturday - since its bottom half I don't think it matters that it is someones home course - its about the fun factor.

sorry if I came across being an ass!

i really don't care where we play, but would like to keep it saturday if at all possible. If that means playing a course that is not hylands then it is.

I see the point about pyramids and losing money, I know I will be more than willing to throw some money in to help off set us being there if we choose pyramids.

We have had saturday on the schedule for so long and many people on my team worked out their schedules for that. We wanted to have a set date for finals for that reason.

Has anyone even asked Jason what he thinks? I'd bet he'd make more money with 6 teams full of disc golf addicts playing than a random Saturday minus everyone on a team.

Jason waived the greens fees when we had our Challenge against B2. I'm sure he would be willing to waive them again. Just ask, it's that simple.
