Innova Archon

Post by Jaxon Sheehy »

Didn't see a dedicated thread
there were a few tangents in other threads like in the Ape thread
and in a "new discs" thread

anyway, i picked up a star Archon
and a Champ Archon
i didn't like the star archon so i traded it (probably just because it was cold weather and star plastic is not great in winter for me- too hard)
but the champ one is $ i think

i brought it on a trip to Florida with the thought that i didn't care if i lost it...
but i had a lot of great throws with it- S turns galore, but for good distance-
and today i just finished a round where i used it on a lot of drives
parked hole 7 at Pye within 4 feet
between those two times, i already like it more than my beat star wraith
i like the star wraith, but when you really air it out you have to get the angle perfect because a big turn doesn't really hyzer out at the end anymore- it's too beat
but this brand new Archon has a similar initial turn
but a nice fade
all in all its pretty straight, but for open field distance, i'm really liking this disc

it's a low 170's weight- not max

as far as release, i'm pretty much going level with it
no need to cheat and throw hyzer flip (for my arm) and it's not so sensitive as to turn and burn

anyone else throwing these on a regular basis?

167 Charchon hardon here.

High ripped annies. Uphill BOMBS. Downwind, flat BOMBS.

The only thing I don't LOVE my charchon in is a heady.

i had a headwind let down today- filed it away in things to remember
but i sort of knew it'd happen, i just figured maybe positive vibes could overcome it
turns out it has more to do with stability than vibes
