The latest from Disc Golf Live - Thanks Vibram and Steve!

Post by Joe Wander »

We're happy to note that our most recent dose of DG on TV is in the hands of our broadcast partners across the country. DGL brings DG to TV via community and public access stations. Our DVDs are free to our broadcast partners, so if you've got a station, why not hook your local peeps up with some DG on TV? Only local residents can submit shows, but we'll give you the DVDs you need to get the job done. Want to share your corner of the DG world with others? We're happy to accept submissions for our shows, so get to work on your story. And if you'd like to support the folks bringing our game to a wider audience than ever before, consider adding a DGL DVD to your next event's player packages, or getting on our mailing list so you can get a few copies of each show for your club's merch table or retail shelves. (Memorial Ams - look for a copy of this show in your player's package! - Thanks to Spinners Disc Golf for supporting DGL.)

New Englanders - there are a ton of stations in your region. If you want to see some DG on TV, get in touch with your station and find out what it takes to submit a program, then let me know and I'll get some DGL DVDs into your hands.

Episode 28 starts with Derek Kotval’s piece on the ’08 Masters Cup. We also sample a bit of the ’08 Vibram Open DVD put out by Steve Dodge. And our own coverage of the ’08 CCR Open rounds things out. Along the way, there’s a disc golf themed music video from Todd Lewis and RootStand, plus an ace submitted by Joe Todd. As a bonus in our Home version there’s an In The Bag segment on Nate Doss.

Here's a bit from the show:

Best regards to all,

We're now up to episode 47 of Disc Golf Live video magazine, and Vibram is still supporting our broadcasts by sharing their tasty video coverage. Thanks once again to the Vibram DVD crew and Steve Dodge in particular. The Vibram footage comes towards the end of part two. Part one includes some Am Worlds action provided by ClashDVD, and both parts have some ladies skins safari doubles action from Disc Girls Gone Wild.

We now put our full episodes online for disc golfers to enjoy, but the primary reason for creating DGL is to take advantage of free local television broadcast opportunities. If you have community or public access TV in town, take a few minutes and research the station to find out how you can submit a show for broadcast. I can set you up with program DVDs or downloads at no cost. There are hundreds of small stations in the NE and we'd be happy to welcome each one as a broadcast outlet.

Here are the two parts of episode 47:
