me too steve, but that's what makes the VP a great "utility" disc for those "throw a disc in one direction and want it to tank hard at the end" shots. Those of us who end up OFF the fairway a lot need that type of shot; but maybe that's just me ;)

do you folks with over a dozen discs in your bag actually use all of them or are a handful of them for just in case scenarios.......i only carry about 7 maybe 2 more if i am going to anywhere with water hazards... whats the general opinion... should i continue with my 7 which i have a pretty good idea what they all should do most of the time....what do people think is the minimum # that should be carried and what is overkill........what is the 1 disc you couldnt do without.... :?: ok so maybe its more than 1 question...i am thirsty for knowledge...inquiring mind wants to know

Molds is the key. In my bag right now, main D driver is nuke. If it's really windy or I need Hyzer I drop down to Force, Orc turns over, Wraith does not, Firebird mainly just cut flick rollers on hole #12 at borderland when I cat the drive from the Blue tee and need to get out of trouble.

I need to thin out my mid ranges. (Roc, Meteor, Q Sent, Stingray, XD) Likely it'll be the Stingray leaving, but it's been good to me, so I keep her around.

Putters, same mold, just different wear and tear and different plastics to counter the wind in certain situations.

It's 11 molds, but I could probably comfortably play with 7.

Please do Steve, the only other one I have is one of the minute man rocs, and its got quite a dome on it. I would love another flat top. I would be looking in the range of 170-175. I don't have much to trade, but would be willing to buy one/both from you.

really not a lot of change in 6+ months:

2 Z Nukes (new, worn in... missing a new one right now)
X Nuke (replaces nuke SS, crap this goes faaaaaahh)
3 Teebirds (beat DX, new DX, Champ)
2 star Roadrunners (beat for huge annys, new flat one for hyzer flip straight drives)
Star Sidewinder (not used too much)
2 Predators (worn ESP and new Z)

2 Comets (worn ESP and newer Z)
Z Buzzz

Zone
APX (beat, turnover putter shots)
3 Challengers (putt only, pro-d stable approach, soft X approach)

I really have no need for an overstable mid, the predators power down so nicely (champ teebird can also) and the zone can be thrown a little harder and go just as far a s a mid... plenty of overlap there.

Biggest problem now is headwind max distance. my Z nuke has some wear on it, and can finish straight and even turn slightly in a slight headwind... more than 10-15mph and it's going right (but probably coming back). X Nuke is useless in a headwind. Trying to decide between just getting a new Z Nuke or trying a Force in that slot. Nuke OS is probably too much for me unless it beats in nicely.

Even a new Nuke isn't good in a headwind. Try a force or an Xcal.
