New course in Pelham NH

Post by nik »

I just found out a new course in Pelham NH when I was talking to TEX on the phone. I checked it out on the PDGA website and it is on there so I am going to go check it out tomorrow. From what I heard there are nine holes in and nine more on the way. We shall see.

this is the link to the pdga's New Hampshire page so you can get directions.

Here is the web site: http://www.pelhamnhparksandrec.org/

The course is very short, but could be a good way to introduce young kids to the sport.

First Ace

Post by Eric Connolly »

Congrats to Craig Connolly on his first ace over the past weekend. I believe it was the 3rd hole. Not bad for a senior grandmaster. Could this have been the first ace at this course?

Sadly, it is the family's first ace as well, but congrats all the same Dad.

Played Pelham two days ago with my pal Dubro. What a fun, little practice course! Many kudos all around. This would be the perfect place for a beginner to start....and have some immediate disc golf success. Great for the children!

After we played the nine we just made up a bunch of holes to get back to the lot. If anyone finds my Proline Starfire please keep it and have fun with it.

I played there about a month ago and had the same thought. There's a thread on nefa bout the trend to build long courses. I think it's great to have a little course like this to help get kids and new players excited about the game. I hear there are nine more holes coming in 2007. I would simply like to see the holes more spread out. There's a lot of near criss-crosses right now.

It would be mighty dangerous to have more than a few folks on the course at a time....will definitely be looking forward to playing the back nine someday.
