Mt. Cranmore North Conway NH
Mt. Cranmore in North Conway NH has opened a 9 hole course. It is not lift assisted but for a ski hill it is pretty easy walking. 8 of the 9 holes are mid to upper 200 foot with hole 5 being a down hill 400 footer with a large bank of plate glass to target. All in all a fun course. $8 for 18 holes. Open only on the weekends after Labor Day. Nice views of Cathedral Ledge and Mt. Washington.
If we're fools in life, a happy fool I would rather be.

I suppose it could be the same LAYOUT, but shortly after the tournament, the baskets were sold to Dan Bent who created his (in)famous Bent's Pond course. Those same baskets had originally been installed at the Tenny Mt. ski resort in Plymouth, NH by Ed Headrick around 1977 before being sold to Mt. Cranmore. Dan also trucked his chains for many New England TDs to set up temporary courses. The only other permanent PoleHole course in all of New England in the early 1980s was Beaver Brook in remote Maine. (Rindge is private.)
Rick, you may recall that we played the front nine twice to make the event 18 holes, but I played the then closed back nine during the lunch break and liked it even better...much more elevation. Yours truly won the NH Championship by two strokes and I also met the Lickster for the very first time.

It most DEFINITELY wasn't I, Rick!

Re: Mt. Cranmore North Conway NH
Josh & I played the course in late June. It's $10 for 18 (true 18, not 9 twice).
It is a pretty good layout for a basic ski slope course, no extreme challenges or ridiculously silly holes (except maybe the 130' first hole). It's obviously geared toward families on vacation and is not championship caliber at this point.
The main issue we had were the tee signs. They are big and beautifully made but they put them right on the front corners of the tee box, making them extremely dangerous and distracting.
It's well worth playing if you are in the area but not worth a special trip yet.

Re: Mt. Cranmore North Conway NH
Here's a sample of the tee signs. Definitely an issue with throwing and/or following through, since the tees themselves are only about 3 feet wide.

The course isn't especially challenging for the experienced player (I shot 51 despite a lot of issues getting off the tees well due to the signs). Some fairways consisted of knee high grass/weeds and some others were bordered by same, so between that and the tee sign issue, the challenge, as it were, was playing conservatively and not losing a disc. No idea if we just had bad timing mowing-wise or if they don't do a whole lot of mowing on the ski slopes. Spotting was extremely key.
Beautiful views though. It was a bit hazy and overcast when we were there, but the views were still worth playing up to those higher holes.
Basket 9 (from tee 10). Tee 9 is in the woods on the left hand side.

Hole 11, I believe. Tee is off-camera to the right. The basket can be seen to the left of the second pole down.

Re: Mt. Cranmore North Conway NH
I see nary a mention of disc golf on either their website or their FB page.
http://www.cranmore.com/summer
My guess is the course was pulled, probably for lack of use. A call or email to them would confirm.
