Amazingly - MPM & MPG both have a tie for FIRST!
Does this mean we have a PLAYOFF???

We should IMO, however the Charter doesn't specify a playoff for ties and last year the Am1 Women finished in a tie and both names were added to the Sap House wall plaque. MA3 also finished in a tie in 2009.

This will be added to next years charter. An open discussion from the membership should take place prior to figure out which method is better to break the tie.

Ken and I never played head-to-head - but I thought that would have been a good breaking point.

For this type of Points Series - Why not keep the tie?

I'd go with:

1) head to head
2) win over the largest field
3) total points

Ken and I didn't play head to head
I won first in a 7 man field - Ken first in a 5 man field
Ken has 959.656 overall points to my 880.965.

So we still TIE!

You wouldn't move to the next option unless the previous one is a tie. BTW, It's pretty amazing that you never played a head to head match given that you both played in 10 or more events this year.

Another option, would be to go to the next highest scoring event for each person and decide that way. Hmmmm....whatayaknow, you guys are tied again (88.889 for you at FDR, and 88.889 for Ken at Roosterpalooza).

Maybe this truly is a tie.

Going one more does it though. 83.333 versus 80.000. Although doing it this way doesn't work if both people have only played the minimum number of events, so it's probably not the best option.
