Computer Issuesq
Hi Guys,
My Laptop keeps bluescreening and it says it cant find a directory file. This is outside of my purview and I need it fixed both for my school work and the kids as well. Does anyone have the expertise to fix this and if so Can you help me? Ideally I would be able to pay you in discs. Please let me know.

Re: Computer Issuesq
Fastest way to fix it: get a new one.
If that is not an option, first try System Resore to return the system to the last stable state.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, use anit-virus/malware-removal tools. I always use Ad-Aware and SpyBot.

Take it to the Geek Squad if JDB's fixes don't work. Someone paid to know about this stuff is best.

^ lulz. Signed - dude who runs a pc into its physical/industrial obselecense grave sans "anti virus software"
If I could afford the Mac equivalent of the power pc I need for graphic work (tasking), hell yeah I'd be all about it, but the truth is that if you've got a single thing to do that goes beyond the netbook realm, be prepared to spend twice the dough for a Mac.
The whole virus shtick is just that.
That said, very surprised ( tho I don't really know what scope of adolescent education you're employed in) that macs aren't standard issue? Kids really should be brought up on these machines if they can be afforded. The future was tech/web intensive and, well, now is that future....

Your brain is apparently still frozen from the weekend.
The only Apple product I've been exposed to is the original iPhone, which I still have and works fine, and I love it.
